Left a note (not to mention a STICKER that could have pulled off the paint) on my door and the doors of all my neighbors in my subdivision. The note CLAIMS it's a missed package deliver and you should call the number to retrieve your package.

Also left a sticker on my front door claiming to be a missed package.  No Federal Post office form number, no company name...when you call the number it rings FOREVER then asks for your "access code" and none are provided.

Not currently expecting any packages but am concerned this might be a way to case the neighborhood...

UPDATE-

I finally managed to get someone on the line who explained that they were "Out in our area" and delivery "Wal-Mart" gift cards and wanting to do a free water quality test.  When she asked for my address, I told her we weren't interested.

I also got the sticker placed on my door. I was at home all day and they did not try very hard to reach me. I do not like the fact that they want you to believe that you missed a package, this is very misleading. Thanks for the heads up on who they are and why they came. I am busy with my 2 infants and do not want some stranger knocking on my door, or coming in my home.

I got the same Yellow "Package Delivery Notice" sticker on my door, and called the 317-786-8149 phone number.  The person indicated something about a free WalMart shopping gift card and I mistakely brought up the "Do Not Call List" subject.  They indicated they were from Eco Water company.  While this new twist to bait a return call worked, I am so upset by it that I do not intend to do any business with them or recommend them to anyone else.  What did this tactic do for their business?  I am just so stubborn that I do not do business with firms that upset me.  Were they asleep in Marketing Class?

I just called 911 and told them somone was casing my neighborhood pretending to be a delivery person.  We have had two neighborhood break-ins in the last 6-months.  

"Lights and sirens are on the way"  I got the sticker 26 minutes ago.

Also got a sticker, and I was home at the time.

Just heard someone drive up like they were delivering a package but never heard a knock or the doorbell.  An hour later I go outsideto get the mail and see the yellow sticker with "Package Delivery Notice" on it.

I had the same sticker and it was Eco Water and they said they were doing a promotion.  I told them to never stick a sticker on my door again and she, at least, pretended to write down my address.  I was very upset that anyone would blatently lie like that.  They did not have a package to deliver and it is BS for real.  I am tired of people coming to my door to sell me crap.  No more door to door salesman please!!!  Anyone got any suggestions

Same yellow sticker everyone else is describing.  So lame.

I also got one of these yellow stickers on my door. Although it had a different phone number than what is listed here. The number was 317-354-0047. Does anyone have an address for this so called "business"? I think we should all take these stickers and cover their building with them.

Same thing the yellow sticker and I am Hight P@#sed off!!! They have NO business doing this and I wonder has anyone reported them to the BBB?  I am going to at least make a complaint.

We got the curious yellow sticker on our door in a neighborhood on the West side of Indy today.  We have been home all day, the doorbell did not ring, or anything.  We are expecting a lot of packages due to an upcoming wedding, and if we had not come across these postings, we would have been duped.  Thank goodness this site exists!  I agree...post an address and we can plaster their building with these stickers!

I had the same sticker on my door. Went to my computer and typed in the number and all of these messages came up about how this was a fraud. Good thing I checked first before I called the number!

I got a Package Delivery Notice marked Please call Delivery Center 317-786-8149 M-F 2pm-9pm or Sat. 9am-2pm.  I saw the same orange sticker on the front doors of my neighbors which seems very suspicious.  These are strange hours for a business to be open.  I called the number to let them know I do not appreciate getting a sticker on my front door which could easily have ripped off a patch of paint.  The number was busy all of the three times I called.  I am glad I found this message board as I felt these orange sticker people were involved in a scam or shady marketing.
