- paint replies to Karencould have pulled off paint off, but didnt. Dosent that matter?
- Anonym replies to Anonym"Lying???? " And you tell me to check into spell check you inbred imbecil. Try "lying". Even a third grader knows how to spell this and does not even need spell check. I am amazed at the stupidity of people like you.
- UPDATE replies to MNFThis is the way you handle this. For all of you people who get upset and [***] about the way companies market their products, and it should be outlawed and criminal etc,.. all one has to do is what this person did, simply say no!!!!!!!!! Is that hard to do? This person did not think so, and neither do I.
- TO LARRY WILDMAN replies to Larry Wildman| 2 repliesNo, we did not sleep through marketing, in fact quite the contrary. To date, we have visited at least 1000 families with this marketing program. If we were not able to meet families with this approach, we would cease to do it. While no marketing program will please everyone, and I am sorry this upset you, the masses determine what marketing programs will continue and which ones will die a quick death.
- TO POPSY replies to Popsywhy on gods green earth would you call the law and tell them someone was casing the neighborhood pretending to be a delivery person???? Have you nothing better to do than assume that a hard working group of people are up to no good? and even if you suspect it, why would you call the law before you even knew the facts? You have been watching too much tv and you need to stop bothering the police, they have much better things to do than respond to a man probably sitting around in his underwear and "wifebeater" looking out his window and trying to find a way to add some drama to his life.
- franklin twnship replies to Franklin Twnship| 2 replieswhat do you mean they have no business doing this? What is against the law about trying to deliver packages to homeowners? I am amazed at the outrage you seem to be expressing as if someone had just violated you. do you not have enough drama in your life and you have to invent some? You are the reason the term "drama queen" was invented. Look up "drama queen" IN THE DICTIONARY AND THERE IS YOUR PICTURE.
- cautious consumer replies to cautious consumer| 1 replyyea thank god this site exists, how else would lazy people find out what was going on around them. Instead of checking with the local permit area and find out that this was totally legit and spending a little time and intelligence, you can stay on the couch and check this site with other lazy uninitiated people and see your whole world thru a small computer web site. And to add insult to injury, i am afraid that this site may be littered with people just as lazy as you.
- URADBAG replies to thank god for message boardsAnd why should anyone here assume that you're not ignorant, too?
- nubs17 response replies to nubs17what was shady about this???? I guess you vocabulary is so limited that this is all you could say about this? get the facts "nubby" and then you might have something intelligent and interesting to say.
- wynfield response replies to Wynfieldwhat is fraudulent with this? I bet you do not even know the meaning of the word fraud!!!!! I think you just go thru websites like this and try to add to the commentary but simply cannot think of something to say with you limited vocabulary. This happens when you are inbred. Look that word up!!!!
- asdfds response replies to asdfdswhat does smell have to do with this? it is a shame the paint peeled off and i am sure they did not intend to do this. maybe if you had called they would have helped fix the door. instead you just assume that it does not "smell right" No wonder our world is so messed up, people like you who do not investigate things before they make a decision. What a shame.
- Ms Stubborn replies to TO LARRY WILDMAN| 1 replyWith this attitude, your feathers must be ruffled, as I have said before, a reputable, honest company would not hide behind a deceitful, misleading sticker. Try the straight forward approach, because I am with this gentleman, anger me and I will be stubborn enough to not only NOT use your company, but will wear myself out advising everyone else not to either!
- southside replies to EcoWater of IndianapolisShould you be allowed to leave a note? Certainly.
Should you, as a reputable business, leave a note without a business name and information about who you are? Definitely not. No matter what your lawyers say, no matter if it it legal or not; this smacks of fraud and is at the least deceipt. It doesn't matter if you are a wonderful company, and even if you would give 50% to a well deserving charity. It doesn't matter if your product could save the health of hundreds of people. That is not the issue.
If you had left a message about your product(s) and the promotional gifts you were giving, the receiver of the message could have gone online and gotten a bit of information about the products and business. They would then be able to call the number in confidence. Some of the very irate people in this thread may even have become customers. People want to know they can trust a company or contractor they are dealing with to treat them honestly. There are too many who are willing to take advantage. By leaving the message in the way you did, it leaves the impression, deserved or not, that there is something shady.
I did go to your website to look around (using the telephone number you left on the door to find out who you were. You seem to be reputable and legit.
When I replaced my softener, I upgraded to saltless. However, if I had replaced my old one with a comperable softener and even if you had a product far superior to anyone else, I would not have gotten my product from you, due to the way your advertising was delivered. If you had included company name and information, I would definitely have considered your products when deciding what I wanted when I replaced mine. - Concerned daughterMy elderly parents rec'd this same orange sticker on their door and thank god did not answer. I understand that companies need to have market strategies to promote their products. Now with telemarketing not being an option companies have found another way to try to get to consumers. I don't feel this is safe. Both of my parents have medical problems and I don't like the idea that strangers come to their door to sell products or the fact that they leave messages for them to try and to respond to when no one answers the phone!
- Beech GroveIf anyone that lives in Beech Grove gets this sticker and comes here to check it out, please know that in order to do door to door sales, any company MUST HAVE A PERMIT on file. No one has done so in 2008. If they come to your door, call the police and ask for their permit. The Police will make them leave.
- Beech Grove resident replies to a g busyWell it can be illegal if they do not have a permit to sell door to door. In Beech Grove this company is illegal because they have not filed a permit with the city. If someone comes to your door always ask for their permit and if they do not have one, CALL THE POLICE!
- BillIf they are so honest why don't they leave the owner's name, address of the company, and maybe a website. Instead I got a sticker that makes it look like I'm getting a package. I'm turning this into the attorney general's office regardless. It's dishonest regardless of it they say "Jesus loves me".
- Annie replies to Woofhello Woof,
Your message made me chuckle. In all seriousness these people who leave unidentified stickers or notes should be prosecuted. It is scarey in a world like we have today. I don't even answer my door anymore. Everyone should beware. Any legitate company would put their name on the sticker. - Annie replies to Woofhello Woof,
Your message made me chuckle. I hope they come to your neighborhood too. In all seriousness these people who leave unidentified stickers or notes should be prosecuted. It is scarey in a world like we have today. I don't even answer my door anymore. Everyone should beware. Any legitate company would put their name on the sticker. - Concerned Consumer replies to cautious consumerAll I can say about the responses to the negative blogs for this marketing technique is that I certainly will not do business with a company that allows such unprofessional responses. Maybe you should go back to Marketing class and learn how to get a consumer's attention and get their business. It is not by blasting potential customers on a very public blog. Maybe the owner of the company better monitor his employees better or teach them how to respond to negative remarks. You ever heard the saying "you get more with honey than vinegar?" Well maybe you should hear it.
