These are money grubers 2nd or third party collectors I don't owe them anything they don't have a contract from me to them.

I love the collection trolls trying to make it seem like the debt is legitimate. Report them to your local AG, Better Business Bureau. The government is actually starting to take these [***] seriously enough that they are starting to shut them down. You can also call the company that they say they are collecting for and tell them you longer want to do business with someone who hires such scummy people.

They keep calling me about my b/f's financial issue...I don't know how they got my cell number!

For the past year I have been receiving phone calls from CBE Group Inc asking for a Ms Ortiz regarding an unpaid account. Keep telling them that no one by that name has ever lived at this location and that they have an incorrect telephone number. (Note: Live in Dade City Florida which has a high population of spanish speaking residents. Very possible that this person had my present number before I got it.) CBE says ok than calls again several days later and we go through the scenerio all over again. Have received over 50 some calls since January 2009. Appreciate the problem that CBE has but that is not an excuse to badger me. The people from CBE are rude, abusive and do not not want to hear anything.

I just got a call this morning 4-6-2010 from c b e group from this number 240-699-8905 said his name was bredy. he asked for payment on a home depot acct. he said and cited the last four digits of my soc. and asked me to confirm it,i did not. i told him there are to many scams in this world and i would not discuss any finanicial info with any one over the phone. if i get a dunning letter should i send a d v letter to them

I auto answer with a great acoustic  of Hotel California - 7 minutes long distance. I have had them wait for 4 minutes before they hang up.

Any one in the area code want an auto dialer, since you are not a company then you should be able to keep calling until they change their number. If they are answering your call, they are not calling someone else and LOSING money.

We filed for bankruptcy in California and They keep calling, my lawyer says with all the computerized logs I have their are a lot of people that will be served with court papers from my Superior court and small claims court also. They have caused emotional and physical damage to my wife when she was recovering from surgery.

They called, but we did not answer.

Calls from this number (!-319-274-1910 CID CBE Group) started last week and are coming in at a rate of 4 to 5 times a day.  I have never answered and no message has been left on my machine. Have no idea why a collection company would be calling me.

I'm a little confused.  Why would a debt collection company call me?  I don't have any credit cards and the only major purchase I maid was for an LCD TV and paid for it in cash.

i have been receiving calls from this number for three days now.  I owe no money to anyone and it is very annoying to keep receiving these calls but due to the other posts i will still not answer my phone. Thanks for the heads up.

I keep receiving calls from 319-274-1910, every day, 3 and 4 times daily.  I have no idea where they got this phone number:  It's new!  At least, it's new to me; I just got this cell phone in February!  Here's what I did:  My cell phone has a "reject" option that blocks my phone from ringing when this number calls.  So let them call!  I never hear it.

This number calls all day and all night. sometimes they even call and hang up as soon as i pick up??? i want them to stop calling me immediately!

I have received 3 phone calls today from this phone number. I have not answered (unknown caller) but they don't leave a voice mail.

I get at least one call everyday from this number!   I called them today and they said they have taken my name off their call list.

I called the 800 number and they are looking for my dad, who I havent lived with in years! They weren't friendly, but they told me what I needed to know! Thanks for everyone who posted!
