Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

REMEDY!!! They called, I told them to reach the person by mail. Ask for the original contract with you compelling you to perform(which they most likely will not have). Tell them you only want letters sent that are signed , so you can hold somebody liable. Then throw in your letter a fine for any unsigned letters filling up your mailbox - $500

I get many calls about persons I donot know...it happens several times a day.  I will seek legal help from University attorneys to start a class action law suit to get payments for jointly lost time and penalty payments from CME.

I've been receiving many calls from 319-274-1910. I will not pick up calls on my phone's when there's no name of caller, unassigned, unknown Etc., especially when they do not leave a message. Reading the comments contributed by others has been extremely helpful to learn about the abusive and unethical practices regarding this company. to learn in 2007 they were so abusive.  It's now  2018 and yet this company is still in business after being so outrageously abusive and unethical to those are trying to collect from which is so unacceptable. I thank everyone for the info they provided under the comments which I fully intend to use. I'm curious to learn if in 2007/2008 was a class action lawsuit ever filed against this company. Does anyone know?. Thank you to all.
