indicated that they were from the golden gate university alumni association. will be contacting that university to let them know what is going on. wanted a money pledge. told them that recent stock market activity and being on social security didn't permit for charitable donations. he hung up.

Just contacted Golden Gate University in San Francisco and they confirmed that Ruffalo Cody is in fact legitimate. My concerns were that the prefix for San Francisco is 415 and when I saw the 319 prefix, I got concerned that they were not who they were especially when then asked for information that the school has had for years.

I work at one of the locations and if you want to stop the calls pick up the phone. If its on behalf of your university either agree to give(we do not see any of the money what so ever we either have the university send you a pledge card or you do it with a credit card which we don't save the information from at all) or tell them you can't and as long as you are clear and nice about it that should end the calls until next year when the university wants to call again.

I have been called 5 times in the last 5 days from this number, but they have not left a message.  I am on the Do Not Call list so this is extremely annoying.

^ The Do Not Call list does not apply to non-profit organizations(or those calling for them) or any company you've had previous relationship with.

they called my phone now twice. i didn't pick up because i didn't know the area code. usually telemarketers don't call my cell.

They called my cell phone, I didn't answer.

Have received several calls in the past 2 days from this number. There is no one on the line, and if I don't answer it, they don't leave a message.

Interesting...there "office" in Virginia is a residential home just 6 or 7 houses down from me.

I receive about 2 phone calls a day from this number. Today I wrote an email to them asking to take me off their calling list. I also mentioned I would do the following if they didn't: I will file a claim with the FCC. No only is my personal cell phone on the National Do-Not-Call list, but  computer automating calling techniques to personal cell phones are illegal.

called my home phone and when i answered, they hung up.  i just called them back and told them never to call my number again.

I put my cell phone on the Do Not Call List on a friend's advice, never having gotten any telemarketing calls before. Five days later, I started getting calls from 319-730-2688 and 866-800-2202. The first one asked for some name I didn't know. I told them it was a wrong number and they apologized and hung up. I have never happened to be near my cell phone again at the time they call, but they continue to call every day or two.  It looks like putting your name on the Do Not Call List is just like putting your number in a phone book. Expect to get hit.

Well, if they don't enjoy wasting their time, why do they even bother calling people who are on the national do not call registry?  I mean, really; I'm not giving one f-ing dime to some numb nuts that can't obey a simple request to respect my privacy.  

And, calm down?  Did it ever occur to you that harassing people is prone to excite, rather than calm, people?  It must be a company full of folks who are just as sharp as bowling balls.

I'm sorry, but this is one of the dumbest responses I've found out here, yet.  Why would my alma mater pay undergrads to call people, and then hang up on them without saying a single word?

And, if you don't like someone's spelling, read another board, arsehat!

Please refrain from using such sound logic.  The people working for Ruffalo Cody who have posted here might read your post and suffer inadvertant head explosions.

Actually, the list DOES apply; it's just that they are not bound by it.  I'm sure this is a concept you won't undersand; so, I'm kind of wondering why I wasted my time posting this...
