this number calls me a couple times every day and never leave a message.

I do not know who these people are and do not want them to call me.

they call to ask if you want information about a college. not to give money to the college!  High School students are identified through their SAT, ACT, PSAT, etc. where they check that they would be interested in receiving information about college, so honestly it is your fault that they are calling and they are simply helping you out.

None - didn't pick up - caller ID said thon phong - first time I got call - it was on a land line.

I receive around a dozen calls a day from different numbers every day including Sundays from an inmate somewhere but the area code is always 319.  It says I am receiving message from the AC, then this inmate leaves his short message and it disconnects immediately after.  I do not know what to do.  Really do not want to change my phone # because it is my business phone #.  Do I contact the police?  The inmate knows my first name and leaves 3 second long messages.  I have tried not picking up for several days and they still call.  What can I do, I have had enough, and its really creapy.

UPDATE.   caller called again.    I have a list of over 20 blocked numbers.   I am keeping a record and if they don't call back in 90 days, I delete them.   This is the second call since early February.    Keep records, and block them on your phone.   I have a panasonic phone which I bought last December.  works great for this!  worth the money

If you know what Prison, I would contact the warden of that prison.   If not, call the State's Attorney from where you live if the Prison is a state prison.  If Federal, call the FBI

The Mt.Pleasant Correctional Facility is located in Iowa and the Info for that Prison is 319-385-9511.  Keep a record of calls made to you and contact the warden at that place

I had received eight calls in two weeks from this number.  I never answered it when I read the caller ID.  A
dear friend told me how to stop these calls and it worked.  When you see the caller ID of a phone number  you want to stop calling you, pick up the phone when you see this number and immediately hit the pound symbol (#) 20 times as fast as you can-----do not stop until you have reached 20.....it will tell the caller this number does not exist and they will not call you again. Good luck to you-----this will stop unwanted calls.

I work at Ruffalo, as well. If you don't wish to receive a call, just pick up and ask them to take you off the calling list. Simple as that. We aren't calling to bother you, we're calling to see if your kid is potentially interested in a college. We're trying to help. Callers aren't allowed to leave voicemails, and we're an outbound calling center. We can't leave you a number to call us back on, because we're always using the phones. Don't take it out on the employees. We don't make the rules, we only abide by them.

The phone number 319-730-2688 has called my cell phone number which we use as the main phone number for the family. It's called several times and always hangs up on me. I noticed that the dates on the other messages were quite some time ago, but it would be interesting to know how often they harrass people.  They obviously got my phone number through the kids school.  I will be addressing the school's giving my phone number out to a company with them since I have not participated in any school fundraisers in over five years.

I've been getting multiple calls from this number (to my cell phone) - any day of the week and any time of the day.  With all the scams out there, I don't usually answer calls I do not know so I keep waiting....and waiting...and waiting for them to leave a message to at least identify themselves so I can consider answering the next go-round.  It's frustrating.  Makes me upset with my alma mater to handle business this way.  Disgraced even.  

Ruffalo Cody is an outbound calling company, it is very close to kirkwood community college here in iowa and kirkwood has been having it's annual phone-a-thon for donations for scholarships and such, usually it's only to alumni but they must have branched out. Just answer and tell them not to call anymore.
