- dlboer88Yes, they just called my mother in law and boy oh boy put her on a hunt. She called me 7 times about this. I then called 336-283-0327 and gave them my claim number and was told it was for my husband. I said I have power of attorney and can fax it to them so they could see I have the right to know. They hung up on me. I called back and asked them for the address of where they are located and they hung up again. I then called again they wouldn't answer my call it just rang and rang. I then blocked my phone number and they answered I masked my voice and asked them for the address and she said do you have a claim number - I lied and said I dropped it and I was driving and couldn't reach it all she said was when I have the claim number to call back then........What a scam....... No law firm or proper debt collector wouldn't give you their address or hang up on you, or be that rude. Please don't give them any information. Thank GOD for this site to help everyone out.

- ?knowmeThey said that I opened an account at best buy in 2006 and was closed in 2009 with a balance of 1000.00. I was turned in to them with 775.00 owed, I told them that I had bought a computer in 2000 but paid off in full. If I owed best buy it was fraud. The lady told me I would be receiving a court date in mail and to have my paperwork ready for judge. I told her I would contact an attorney . She said good luck and she would see me in court. I ran my credit report nothing on there that I owed best buy. Guess they thought I would just send them money. LOL Called them back later tonight talked to someone else he told me he could not help me because I refuse to work out a deal. I informed him that I knew that it was a scam and I reported them. I was then talking to Mr. Dial Tone

- SheliaGave file number. Told person of starting paperwork for their arrest. Person turned phone. Info was incorrect but they wanted person to give them correct social security number. When told no and to send proper information showing they had signed for loan, was told it would be faxed. Never received. SCAM TO GIVE UP YOUR INFO YO THEM. They get enough info of you to put a scare into you to call. They know that everyone is afraid someone used their ID to get money and that being scared you might give them all the correct on yourself to then steal money from you. Be earned

- CaliforniaWe just had the same call you're reporting from this number; except the caller ID now says "Unknown Name". I don't know whether that means they've stopped using the Global name, or if it's just different in our area.

- davemishsr| 1 replyThis is a total scam. The recording said I was being sued civilly. If you are being sued a sheriff or process server will serve all parties involved with court papers and a summons personally. All 50 states require this to be done as a hand-to-hand transaction so ignore this call. They will go away. If they are calling your cell phone look into apps like NumberCop to permanently block and report the number from which they are calling. NumberCop works like a charm and I highly recommend it.

- "Everyday People"| 2 repliesI received a phone call from them around 0900 went straight to voicemail as I was getting ready for the day. My mother called me several times afraid that something has happened to me. Exactly same scenario as everyone else. I called back about 5 mins from the voicemail and they said I owed $3500+ on a US Bank account and that I'm being "sued" by them. Told me that they would like to settle it outside of court, or refuse to and be sued by them.I told them I don't deal with US Bank and deal that I deal with another bank.
The unnerving thing is that they had the first 4 digits of my social security number. I told them that I am going to contact an attorney and that they would send me the documents in the mail. My mother was hysterical, my husband got the same phone call later that evening after I've talked to them already. I was getting my ducks in a row before I actually googled "Global Litigations Group" and I am glad I did. IT IS A SCAM, don't fall prey into their convincing ploys. You are a law abiding citizen and pay your taxes, if you know you didn't do anything wrong then you have nothing to be afraid of. We need to fight back. We need to find a course of action to fight against the wrong doing of these people who prey on innocent people for their financial gain. They are relentless and will HARASS and call everyone that you know just for them to give up any information that they can use so they can STEAL money from you. They will call your elderly parents and scare them into a health condition that could ultimately kill them if they could. We need to unite as a group of people and take these people down, expose them to the media, and educate everyone on personal financial safety.
Courses of action to take-
1. Check your credit report, call your bank or identity theft company and put them on alert that you received such a call and to monitor your credit and monies.
2. Call your telephone provider and let them know of this phone call and to put them on alert that whomever is making these phone calls are out for wrong doing and should be reported to the FBI or like authorities.
3. Call all your family members and tell them if they receive such a call, DO NOT give up any information.
4. File a formal complaint against the Federal Trade Bureau. The more people that do this, the likelihood of these people going to jail will be in our favor.
5. If you have social media or any type of media outlet (facebook, TV news, newspaper) put a shout out to inform them of this scam. I am going to inform 7 on your side and like investigational units in the TV media to put this story on blast on TV.
Remember To:
- Take a deep breath and relax, nothing of good comes from over reacting, being angry and hostile, and anxious.
- We are intelligent human beings, they think they are smart for pulling such heinous activities against good people. WE are smarter and they must be stopped. United we are able to do this, this is probably a small group of people doing this and the amount of people affected by their actions sum up a larger number. Do what you can, this is your money, you put in the work for it, you have people to feed, people to take care of, bills to pay.
- If you have any other suggestions, please post back.
