I received the same message as everyone else, from what it sounds like. Someone finally answered my calls, I was really nice because I wanted to get as much info out of them as possible. The woman said her name is Anna Scott. She asked me if I knew a certain woman, and when I told her I didn't recognize that name, she said they made a mistake and would "remove my number from the list." Makes me wonder what kind of list. Quite strange.

I just snapped as to why they told me there was a mistake. They saw the caller ID. I had used a phone that belonged to a Federal Government organization.

same experience here .they didnt have my name though.so its a big huge scarey scam. I pray for those who fall victim to these scare tactics.MY NEXT CALL IS TO THE FBI .These [***] will burn in hell.

Same thing as everybody's story. Trying to strongarm me into paying 900.00 for a bill I never owed. I am sure thos is a scam. I am going to contact the FBI as well. Don't pay them a penny.

Now these people are harrassing active duty military!

Received this VM, a prerecorded message:
"- - Shane & Wilson.  This is the Civil Investigations Unit.  We are contacting you in regards to a complaint being filed against you.  Pursuant.  The claim and affadavit number HSHT-1749.  Where you have been named respondant  in a court action and must appear.  There is a contact number on file which you must call.  336-283-0327.  Please forward this information to your attorney.  In that in order to show cause contains a restraining order.  You or your attorney will have 24 to 48 hours to oppose this matter.  Thank you and good luck."

Reported to both the FBI and the FTC as scam/fraudulent.

I got the same robo-call yesterday.  They were asking for a family member.  The family member is an in-law who lives in another state.  I don't know how our number would be associated with him.   I answered the phone so I was able to press the menu selection to be connected to a person.  When I asked how they got our number for this person, the man hung up on me.  Even before that it sounded fishy.  I'm glad I checked here before telling my family member about it; it would have worried him unnecessarily.

I received a call from this group as well.  They left a voicemail.  They said that they were Global Litigation Group, a civil investigations unit.  They said acomplaint being filed against me respondent in court action and I must appear order to show cause and it contains a restraning order. They said that I had 24 hours to respond.

So, I tried to return their call several times, but I only got voice mail.  I had 3 options to be transferred to speak with someone.  I tried all three but got a message saying that it was invalid.

It's a SCAM, no such thing as a restraining against debt.
This is more than likely concerning payday loans,  from a criminal ring run out of India.
Reports are all over this site and others. FTC has a warning posted, go to ftc.gov and read it.
It's a SCAM, nothing more.

I just received a call complaint about a civil action and restraining order. They also gave me a case number.

I received a call from this number claiming there was a civil action filed against me and a restraining order.  My attorney and myself had 24hrs to respond.  I called back, and Ann answered.  She read me a list of things that were supposed to scare me, including one of my current credit cards and my balance.  She claimed I had not paid and that several attempts had been made to deliver a subpoena and i would be arrested and go before a judge.  She then hung up on me when I asked for more information.

Well it's been almost a month and I have not heard back from these [***] nor have I been sued for anything. The number was actually out of service at one time but I see by these comments that they're up to no good again. Hopefully no one falls victim to this.

Do not leave this threatening message again I am going to turn this recorded message to the local FBI!!!!!

These people are calling my number, my husband, and my father. They are saying there is a restraining order against me and I know it is a scam but my parents do not understand this.

This happened to me a year ago. They said all the same things to me.  I spoke with them and told them to send me proof that I received money from this so called money loan online.  I said I would gladly pay it if I owed it.  Knowing that I never took out a loan online! I told them to send me all info they have.  I new this was BS. I fought back with them.  The more they got cocky with me I gave it right back.  They haven't called or contact me for a year, until today!   They left the same voice massage. I thought I'll just ignore them.  Sooo, my neighbor came over with a message from them.  OMG they called my neighbor!  Tomorrow I am going to act all concerned and say yes I'll pay and for them to send me the paper work on where I should send my check.  They have pissed me off pretty bad.  
I really feel bad for the people out there that my think this is true and they would send them money!  Especially the elderly.  
I have some really good friends in some high places. As soon as I find out who and where they are I'm going to bust them bad!!!  Who's in???????

These people phoned my mother, then tryed to phone my office. It was a recorded message about being a investigation group with a restraint #. Don't saty on the line, just hang up. These scammers are just trying to get your name and get info to mess up your life.
Just hang up.

when checking my messages at home today we had a message for my husband stating the same as all above.... I was worried about the word restaining order..... Called the number gave them the Account code or file number.... They WOULDNT talk to me because Im not my Husband. So I called my husband and said hey you have to call these people and figure this out. A bit of backround my husband has lost 2 jobs in the past three years putting up behind in bills. We are working with ALL of the companys to get everything paid off. For people like us this is a really scarry message to get since we ARE working hard to get back on track. anyway he calls and they tell him that an old credit card that we have paid off and clossed is pressing charges for non payment. They said this could be resolved by paying 2000 dollars today. he explained our situation and said he would set up a payment plan of 50-75 a month and they said our client wont accept that and hung up on him...(while he was on the ohone at work doing this I was googling the number, tried to warn him of what I found out but he was trying to deal with it so didnt answer my calls) He tried calling back only to find that they had apparently blocked his number as it kept telling the call wouldnt go through. this is all crazy. what should I do????

The other thing is that when I told the woman I was the persons wife she said ok well we have to talk to him before she can talk to me about anything.. Would you like me to take this number off, I asked how would that help he lives here this is the number to reach him... she said just have him call us.
