Greetings all,

I took the researched phone number for the central office of these calls and simply called the folks at Bellomy Research Inc.  I requested to be removed from their list and explained that I too, like so many others on this site had recieved recorded music on cell phone messages.  I informed them that the problem is no doubt due to a software / automated program routing you over to "muzak" by error.  They were actually glad to get the call and the lady informed me that they will look into it immediately.  Of note, I mentioned this site to them and they were most interested in keeping people from being irritated in this line of work as it does them no good in this regard.  Hopefully, this technical problem will be resolved soon and everyone's used minutes quotas will drop a bit!

Well, I'm an ignorant and naive fool.  This evening the calls from 336-714=5762 are continuing to come in even though I requested to be deleted from their caller list.  Duh,...like these guys care, right?  It's too bad we can't send a virus VIA the cell phone air waves to ruin their day, eh?

I got another call from them, found this site, got to the call center and the gal was very nice and I explained the callers do not always do their job so I wanted to call her and make sure I was removed. I also explained I was on the national do not call list so this better stop TODAY. She bent over backwards to get me off their list! Cool, thanks for the HQ info!

I received an early Saturday morning call from the 336 area code identified by the fictitious name "Chris Pearson". Not recognizing the name or number, I chose not to answer. Instead of leaving a message, the incoming call switched to "canned" music which continued to play even though I tried to make the phone disconnect 3 times. I then did on line research to learn that the call was actually from Bellomy Research, about which are many complaints re the “Chris Pearson” name, on line. Here are the issues: We are on a National Do Not Call List and should NEVER have received that phone call. I suspect that President Scott Layne and his family would not want to be phoned by "researchers" early on a Saturday Morning, or any other time. The fact that misleading (false) “Chris Pearson” information appears on the caller ID is further indication that this company is quite aware that people really would not pick up the phone at all if they knew it was a research company calling. I believe that the people of Winston-Salem are being ill-served by such practices of Bellomy Research.

To make your voice heard about this...

- Call the Bellomy Research Inc. people to complain: 1-800-443-7344 and ask for President Scott Layne.

- Call the BBB of NorthWest North Carolina

- Contact the Winston-Salem Journal newspaper and write a letter to the editor about this: letters@wsjournal.com

Same numer same name chris pearson-calls 2x's a week at 7:30 for past 3 weeks.

I never answer.

I just received a phone call from this # at 9pm. They said it was a survey about my local grocery stores. I can't stand when this types of calls make it through the "DO NOT CALL" list, and they do by the way! If you're going to disregard my request not to be contacted at least contact me before my children are sleeping!

These [***] call me at least once per day and sometimes more.  I've called these people and told them not to call me anymore.  Unfortunately, this request has fallen on deaf ears, since they still call me.

Given that they are calling my cell phone, are there any legal channels that I can go through to force these jerks to stop?  They are eating up my minutes and inflating my monthly bill.

Ok...I had been getting this call also and answered.  It was a gal who was on the other line wanting to ask questions.  She asked what my age group was and then asked it I had used the following products: Orange Juice, Soda, Beer, smokes, snuff, and cigars.  I said yes to all but the tobacco products...she said thanks for my time and disconected.  In my humble opionion this is a marketing group for a cigarette company...i.e.  they are not allowed to call if you are on a no-call list but they are doing it anyway...but on the other hand they never asked for money or tried to sell me anything...

I have received calls from this number three days in a row. The caller ID says Chris Pearson. I don't know a Chris Pearson and 336 is North Carolina, I don't know anyone in NC either. I wish they would just stop.

I am on the do not call list and have been since the day it started, but evidently they are finding ways around it. I had this problem a couple of months back with another number and finally after about 20 calls, somebody actually talked to me. They were from DishNet and when I informed them that I was going to press charges because I was on the do not call list, they couldn't hang up fast enough!!  So I guess we can all just keep trying that. We shouldn't have to put up with this crap though.

Received calls from this number and also(336) 544-0753. Calls from both numbers are from Chris Pearson. I have not answered and have been left no messages.

UPDATE:

After reading this message board I decided to answer the call.  A polite woman asked for me by name and asked if I would participate in a survey about Lowe's Home Installation Services.  She had information that I had a previous appointment with them (which I did) for an in-home consultation for replacement windows.  She asked me several questions pertaining to Lowe's service and thanked me for my time.  Although the call was unsolicited I don't feel it was suspicious, except the caller identified herself as Chris Pearson which is obviously untrue according to other posters on this board.

Have been receiving many calls from this number and found this site. Decided to call back, hit option 1 for call center. They are calling a lot of cigarette smokers right now. If you're on a smoking mail list, they will probably call you. Smoking and tobacco survey.

I figured out how they got my number. One of my idiot friends was at a bar in Nashville and filled out a survey to "Win $5000". It required a phone number and he put mine down. I have since gotten up to 3 calls daily from them. I am still trying to get off of their list.
