Just called me twice, I didn't pick up/

called may 25th. no message.

NYPD Dispatch. Said they received a call from this number, asking if everything is alright.

If some of the other commentors are right and this is the NYPD calling, I have to say that it is a bit stupid, in this day and age, for the police to call in response to a citizen calling 911. What the hell does it take to provide a proper caller ID so the recipient of these calls will not ignore it. I received two calls from 347-250-9899; my caller ID simply said, "Great Neck, NY." Why would someone who lives in New York City expect the police to be calling from Great Neck.

Only one other poster mentioned that.  I am sure they would not be calling from anything other then a New York City Number.  Most likely that other poster is part of the scam and is trying to get people to think they should answer this call.  If you note, two other people posted and one said no message.  NYPD would certainly not call back and not leave a message.

It's a follow up number from the NYPD, after you call 911 they use this number when officers reach the scene.1000000% sure no doubts

I also called police to report what sounds like gun fire. I received 3 called from 347 250 2599. I missed the calls. Called back. Was busy. Googled the number. Here I am. I presume it is NYPD

This is certainly not the NYPD calling.

Did not call NYPD. So why call me with a follow up?

answered the call. Said they were from Amazon and I had a possible fraudulent order. Checked my account and my PayPal, no orders made. Most likely a scam.

I don’t blame them there might be false calls also
