Texted with 911 this morning about an idiot causing trouble on the LIRR coming into the city. Received call from NYPD from this number. Completely useless as they called 2.5 hours after the incident

This is a NYPD officer’s personal work phone number. He said he follows up on traffic violations and MTA bus emergencies in queens New York. Very friendly and detailed. Also if you call when a bus says call emergency he may call for that also. Hope that helps.

This is indeed the 911 call back line. I reported a fire and they called back five minutes later to confirm the fire department had arrived

If you were in an accident and called 911 in NYC area, then this is a follow up call from the NYPD. I called 911 earlier after getting rear ended on the belt parkway. After waiting a while for the police, all parties drove off after exchanging information. This number called me a SECOND time and I answered. The operator called asking if I was in an accident and if parties exchanged information. They then directed me to go to the NYS DMV website where I can fill out a police report for insurance purposes.

I first received a call from a Private Number, but I have PN blocked, but 6 minutes later I get a call from this number 347-250-9899, and it comes up as Scam Likely, so I didn't answer. No message was left. I had called 911 at around 1:20pm because of an accident I had, and the Police never showed up, I left after waiting 2 1/2 hours. I got this call 8 hours after I called 911, so if this was NYPD yeah good like always of never showing up or calling hours after an accident.
