- Sick and tiredCaller in east indian accent said he was Officer Sam Wilson from IRS and they were suing me for back taxes for year 2013. Said his ID # was IRM 12068. Told him the IRS DOESNT CALL, they send letters. He told me I better listen or the IRS was going to take my $$. Told him he was a scammer, and to get back on his camel and go home. Dont know who hung up first

- AnonymousThis is a SCAM trying to make you believe you owe money. The message states it is the IRS. The recording goes on to state that you have to call them and ignoring the call could bring a lawsuit against you. This is a SCAM. The IRS never contacts people by phone with a message like this. Do not call the number back or talk to anyone who claims this. If you truly are concerned, call the IRS directly. You can find out more about scams like this one on the Federal Trade Commission's website: www.ftc.gov

- ConfirmingScam| 1 replyI received the same call from 213-141-5163 and asked to call back at 347-637-6194 regarding a law suit against me. I wonder why FBI, national security or other law enforcement agencies won't go after the owner of these phone numbers. It shouldn't be that hard to find out who they are.

- IrritatedLike many below have reported I saw the number 213 141-5163 show up on my caller ID. I ignored it and my voice mail took a chopped off message from a barely intelligible machine recording. It said "...lawsuit had been filed against you..." and told me to call back 347-637-6194. I did not, but will note that number to give out as mine to all other scammers, including solar, veterans, political, windows, and bogus police/fire charity callers.

- E. M.| 1 replyReceived a call that I was being sued for the IRS. Officer Shirley with Badge number IRS12507. Gave the address: 8090 Broadway, NY NY - Looks like there's nothing there.Where can we report these calls?

- srkbSays IRS has filed a lawsuit against me. Will not let me block the number which is very unusual.

- BubbaA true robocall with a robovoice from same fake CallerID appears as other have stated, i.e. 281-231-0132 which does not exist. Likely this is tailored to the Houston, TX area to appear as a local call. Recording gives same IRS threat of lawsuit and same call number to call, i.e. 347-637-6194. Had to play my voicemail back a few times as number was barely intelligible, they need to work on that. Called this number back with *67 prefix, and the number was answered, but no one spoke. I could hear many others speaking in the background, as would be typical of a "call center" boiler room. Listened for several minutes, but no one ever answered although I could here them breathing. I had muted my end. Now depending on your calling plan, most US calls are "free". So if everyone would just call repeatedly with fax machines, or manually using *67 prefix, i.e. *67347-637-6194, then we could help put them out of business and/or make their jobs as miserable as they are making us.
