Do a search on call blocking devices and phones.If its a cell phone, there are free call blocking apps out there including trac & straight talk.

Callers are located in India and Pakistan.  They spoof local numbers.  Area code 347 is a favorite of some of these IRS scammers.  I'd block that area code.  There's not much anyone can do to them at the present time.

You have to find them first.  They're scattered throughout India and Pakistan.  India alone has a billion people.   Invest in a call blocker and DO NOT pick up on call numbers you do not recognize.  Area code 347 is a favorite  of the IRS scammers.

Scam. Pretended to be from IRS.

left a message on my phone from officer Wilson, from the IRS, they have been trying to reach me and that the IRS has filed a law suite against me. I called back the number and got some one on the phone who gave me his name and badge number and said I should write it down, he then said he needed a min to pull up my file. when he came back to the phone he said there were issues with my tax returns from 2008 to 2013. at this point Im listening but becoming more skeptical by the moment. I then asked "who do you work for ?" and he said the IRS I asked again and this time he waited and I could hear someone in the background coaching him how to reply, then he said "yeah" The next thing he asked was " did I willfully defraud the IRS or was it just a mistake" at this point I said to him the IRS would never ask a question like that moreover I said this is clearly a scam and that I would call the IRS myself and he said ok , then hung up.

fake irs call. claims they have a lawsuit against me

They told me they are from IRS and is suing me for the back taxes. I asked them to me the lawsuit and they hung up.

Recieved latest call this morning threatening legal actions and noting this is their last attempt to collect before the courts get involved.

someone called from 2131415163, asking for call back to #1-347-637-6193. Guy "Officer Sam Wilson badge ID 12068" he stated 2400 dollars owed in back taxes, and there was a "Lawsuit filed against you", for improper taxes filed years 2008-2014. He threateningly asked "Maam this phone call is recording, and I am asking, are you intending to defraud the government?" . I filed a phishing report on the IRS website.

347-637-6194 called posing as an IRS agent stating they had filed a law suit against me. They left this number but no name. IRS does not operate this way. This is a scam.

I received a call from 213-141-5163 and they left a message saying the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me and I need to call 347-637-6194 immediately.  Not happening scammers!

This is a scam.  Caller wants you to believe they are the IRS and you owe money.  Do not call this number back.  These are scammers trying to get your personal information and money from you.  You can report these scammers to the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov.

213-141-5163 called my cell phone and left a message saying that the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me. On the message, they left the return number 347-637-6194. I'm a CPA, and the IRS does not EVER contact you by phone!! Ignore, block, do not call back.

Caller claiming to be an IRS agent. We get at least three or four of these a day.

Jack Smith, Sam Wilson and Dany Smith called me to tell me I have charges filed against me from the IRS for an Audit 2008-2013
