Received a call to my 208 cell phone. Did not answer, googled. I'm thankful for these forums. Apparently they're calling Idaho, but I've not had an ad on Craigslist for years, nor is my phone number on Facebook. I think they might have spiders returning numbers for them, or they've gotten their hands on the DNC list.

And no message left.

I know longer answer the phone when this number pops up, the first time i answered the phone i asked who they were they hung up on me. This paged helped me out.

received a missed call from this number; called it back and it said the number was not in service. Probably a sales call.

just got a call from this number, but i don't pick up unfamiliar numbers.  glad i googled it, though! and glad i didn't answer now.  i'm in boise too, but no craigslist anything, but my number is probably on facebook.

Got a call from  401-757-3220 on my Verizon Cell Phone, which is Unlisted and on The DNC List, and I do not give out to CC companies or anyone else except friends.
I did not pickup since it was not a number I recognized. they left no voice message.  Tried to call the # back and get the message Not a working #.

I am wonding if some hackers got into Cell Phone Companies and got lists of Cell Phone numbers.
Or, just a random dial....

Either way SCAM..

3:39 PM, Jun. 27th, 11:     How did they get my phone number ?   It appears, the Govt. that has all the rules, doesn't  GOVERN !    It's just not a simple report of crooks, I think I've heard,  ONE  MUST  CALL  TO  REPORT  ABUSE  OF  THE  US  PHONE  SYSTEM,  WITHIN  10  MINUTES,,,  OF  THE  3rd  CALL  RECEIVED,  ONLY  ON  THE  3rd  BLUE  MOON,  DAY  OR  NITE !

Got one at noon today im in one of the states mentioned above. I took my number off the outgoing message. Never call these clowns back, When you do you are giving them your number EVEN if you have your number blocked some places use a system that unscrambles the number just like 911 centers can. You can select no ringtone (call still comes thru but with out a sound ring set) for the number in question so it won't ring but go to voicemail. I sugest taking your automated answer off and changing your outgoing message to no name no number. I can't stand phone scams. I work a full week and I study a bit on this stuff and anything you want to research is on the internet. get proactive. By the way the do not call list does not work for alot of numbers and types of calls. I also will add the common factor here seems to be the do not call list I sugest that there is nothing ilegal about the registry getting our numbers and a bussiness washing their system with the list and than said bussiness selling to the scamers see how this is going?

Received a call from this number at 7:58 PM.  

I informed them that I was on the "do not call" list and asked that I be removed immediately.

The caller hung up on me mid-sentence.  Where is the consumer protection.

Received call from401-575-3220. Did not answer as I was on another call. Returned call no answer as this number is blocked from accepting calls. I would like them to not call again!

They just called my cell phone a few minutes ago and told the man that answered I DID NOT appreciate them calling the man was rude and hung up.

I'm a private investigator & gov is not making any progress with nation wide blocked phone call program. This number is blocked, and does not ring when a return call is made. RXC

This is a hot number, all should go to the reporting site for the do not call and report and see what happends. If they spoofed the call and the number is someones they can put up a good fight and get these scammers stopped.

Also got a call from this number. Caller ID says Rhode Island. I thought they left a message because they didn't hang up after the machine picked up, but they didn't. They called my home phone, not cell. Called the # back and it says it is not in service.

rang 4 times then no one was on the other end when I answered.

Got a call from 401-424-9150. I am in Texas. This is a company issued cell phone number that is also registered on the do not call registry. I haven't posted anything on Craigslist in several months. I am not with T-mobile. When I pressed 1 to speak with a representative he asked if I pressed 1 to lower my credit card interest rates. I said, well I pressed 1 to figure out why the hell you are calling my cell phone number and as soon as I said hell he hung up. Number is busy or disconnected when you call it back.
