- CaseyJust got a call this morning, but hung up when I realized they were wanting info.
- yoyogot the call a few weeks back - was in the process of telling the guy that i am on the do-not-call list and he hung up on me. so today i get another call - i press 1 to tell them i am on the do not call list and as soon as i say "i am on the" i get hung up on again.
so i call AT&T customer care - they were absolutely no help - a supervisor named "chris" was a total tool and stated that he had no way to see the information about who was calling and he didnt know anyone in all of AT&T that would know the information.
SO.. HOW DOES AT&T BILL THEM THEN?
I find it hard to believe that anyone can make a phone call and there be no information on it- Caller: credit card offer
- Call type: Telemarketer
- AmandaI just got a call from them too. Accidentally missed it because I'm at work and they called my cell. Annoying...

- tyI just got a call from this number 401-757-3220, I called the number back and it automatically hangs up on you?! they never leave a VM either, but someone calls from that number once a day!
I think Im gonna change Cell My Number?! This is Annoying! - KarenThey called my cell phone and when I asked to be put on the do not call list they hung up, as others have reported. What a scummy company!
- AnnoyedIf you get a call from these guys, lead them on as if you are interested, but do not give any concrete information such as your credit card number. Just enjoy yourself in wasting their time as long as you can, as they have wasted yours.
On 6/28/11 I got a call on my cell with a recorded message asking me to press 1 to lower my credit card interest rate. Someone named "Charles" answered. I led the guy on so I could find out more about this company. They have called 2 or 3 times in the past and have hung up on me as soon as I asked to be put on their do not call list. This time I led the guy on as if I was interested. He claimed to be from "Cardmember Services" and that they work with many banks to lower credit card interest rates. They wanted me to give them the customer service number for my credit card so that they could listen in as I entered my credit card and authentication information so that they could verify my credit card balance (be careful, they can record the dialtones to get your cc#). I dragged the call out by asking a bunch of "innocent" questions and playing dumb. Don't get rude with them or they'll hang up on you, just keep dragging it out as if you're interested but a little skeptical. Eventually I asked how they were able to call me since my number is on the Do Not Call registry. He said that they work with many banks and that my account came up for review. I asked if he would hang up on me if I asked to be put on their do-not-contact list and this time he said he could do that but that I would lose the chance to lower my interest rate. He offered to have me speak with an account manager (i.e. he had qualified me enough to get past level 1 and on to level 2 where I would probably get the "hard sell"). But at this point I was no longer entertained by wasting their time so I said I don't want to be contacted again and he hung up without acknowledging my request to be put on their do-not-contact list. At least I had the satisfaction of wasting 11 minutes of their time. If they call again I'll waste 11 more.- Caller: Cardmember Services

- GretchenHow do you make them stop?
- Jane replies to wendy| 2 repliesYou wasted *thirty minutes*???
You need to toughen up.
If you don't know the person who called you,
HANG UP AT ONCE, without so much as a "good-bye."
You must learn to do that; it is the Only way to deal with phone harrassment. - SteveJust got the call from 401-757-3220. I pressed 1 because I wanted to know how these [***] got my cell number. "mellisa" answered and she asked if I was intereted in lowering my CC bills (I don't use cards because credit is a fiat) so i cut her off short and asked how in the [***] did she get my cell number...this is definately a scam...

- Sam replies to wendyI'm just not sure why you stayed on the line that long. Did you think that maybe they were actually offering something you wanted? I tend to assume that if I want something I'll seek it out. If a stranger on the phone needs to tell me about it I probably don't need it.
- TiredGot phone call yesterday. Did not answer cause I did not recognize number. Glad I googled it. In Texas....and no one ever calls me on my cell. Very curious how they got this number. I do not do Craig List...ever. Just switched carriers from AT&T. I am wondering if they are the ones giving out our numbers.
