    comrade question
Just got a call from this number (Woonsocket, RI) and let it go to voicemail.
It was a recording from CVS saying that there's inclement weather coming to my area and to be sure I have enough meds.
May be legit, since yep - the US East Coast is about to get 2-3 feet of snow!

The call was legit as I did check with my local RX.  See the link below to have CVS stop calling.

A message from CVS letting me know that the predicted weather might affect me region and to be sure to have enough medication now to get through it. It said to visit my local CVS pharmacy with any questions. I used CVS like once or twice in the past 3 years...so they do have my number on file. I don't think it is spam.

They just called me to let me know that the snowstorm that will be impacting my area might mean I need to get refills before it strikes.  Very thoughtful of them!

Voicemail left was an automated call from CVS reminding about the impending snow storm and checking to make sure I had enough medications on hand.

I just had a call and they left a voice message.  It was a recorded message saying from CVS Headquarters.  It was reminding me to check that I had enough medication to last through the impending blizzard.  It went on to say that there was a chance some stores would need to close.  It did not encourage me to call a rogue number, only my local pharmacy if I needed any refills. For what it's worth  -  We have a significant blizzard headed our way and the call sounded pretty legit to me.  However, I agree with the other posters and would be upset and hang up on anyone asking for my personal information via phone.

It is in fact corporate CVS. They robocalled me with a message to ensure if I had any scripts to fill in the next week, to do it today as the blizzard is going to impact pharmacy hours. I'm impressed with the customer service.

Voicemail says its a recording from CVS and because Georgia is declared a state of emergency because of the weather they wanted to remind me to be mindful of the need for medication.  Whatever!

This number called late this afternoon. It was an automated message noting a hurricane was in the area, indicating it would be good to go ahead and do refills now.

Called and no message. If cvs, I even have local # blocked. They have automated calls weekly to get me to pickup meds that don't even have a refill. They must be calling the doctor on their own.  DRUG PUSHERS!

It's not a scam. Here's what the voicemail said on mine during Hurricane Matthew:

"This is your CVS pharmacy with the severe weather advisory a state of emergency has been declared a hurricane may impact our area please ensure you have enough medication during this time you can order refills by texting refill ___ FLL2287898 or go online at CVS com if you have any questions please call or visit your local pharmacy thank you for choosing CVS pharmacy again this is your CVS pharmacy a state of emergency has been declared all hurricane may impact our area please ensure you have enough medication during this time you can order refills like texting refill RES I LL 12287898 or going line at CVS com if you have any questions please call or visit your local pharmacy thank you for choosing CVS pharmacy…”

Weird that they are all saying CVS. I just got one from this and another number. I didn't answer either and the other left a VM  that since the hurricane was coming to my area to check my prescriptions and if I am low, call the pharmacy I use to ask for a refill before the storm hit. No request to call back or give info. Seemed reasonable, perhaps a mass call out to all in our area, but I'm good on my meds.

Didn't pick up (only had city/state listed), but they left an automated message. We're about to get hit with a hurricane & it reminded me to get scripts filled if needed. I thought it was a nice service to offer. I appreciate them actually leaving a message.

Well, I have a CVS account and after reading the above entries, answered when they called a 2nd time tonight, (probably more out of curiosity).  They hung up...and are now blocked.

I just received a call from this number.  It was Kayla with Customer Relations regarding an email I had sent to CVS.  Very professional and offered to assist with my issue.

I recently made a complaint to CVS corporate about discrimination and a CVS corporate Customer Service representative who is covering my case called me from this number. I got a name and phone number to reach her desk. This is legit in SOME cases.

I have tried to transfer a prescription with CVS last summer and tried to do this, this week and cannot get any real answers. For some reason they want to know about the last 20+ years including where I used to work, where I've resided at as well as vehicles previously owned.
