Same old Credit Card Services Scam, add them to my Scammer contact set the ring to zero. I do not ever answer any number I do not know. Send it to voice mail then look it up, usually find it here as the redudant Credit Card Scam.

These people called yet again. This time I held on to the line to ask them to stop calling. They just hang up. I've started registering complaints on all these numbers. Whether or not it will do any good, I don't know.

That's what I think.  My cell # is for personal use only.  No bank, credit card, business is ever given this #.  I and my 10 year old get these calls all the time.  AT &T and the DO NOT CALL  registry is the only ones to have them.   Nothing we can do about it but not answer. I got a person on the line one time. They hung up on me when I asked them to remove my # from their list.

Automated “Tiffany” (where oh where are Anne and Rachel?) calling with the final warning about getting reduced interest rate on credit card. I decided to speak to a real person. People have been posting about how they can keep the fools on the line, so I decided this was my turn. I did my perfect imitation of “doddering old fool. I kept “Sebastian” on the line for 13 minutes. He was calling from “my” bank saying I was “referred” for a better rate because of my on-time payments. He asked the typical questions about how much I owed, how many cards I had, wanted to “verify” my address and have me spell my name. He asked for the credit card number, and the name of the bank. As for the number, I have a bunch of “test” card numbers found on the internet that use the proper algorithm, but are otherwise not valid. Ultimately the only information he got was the phony card number. When I said I did not want to give my name, he told me I was protected by the Federal Consumer Credit Protection Act, and the feds would make sure I would not have my information misused. He also said he understood that I might not trust giving out the information. He said he too might be mistrustful. At 13 minutes I decided the gig was up and I very quietly hung-up. I really wanted to tell him he was made the fool, but I didn’t. He was in a boiler room operation and apparently was being coached. I am going back to just not answering. I have neither time nor patience for silly stuff.

But you DID waste 13 minutes of their time.If more people did what you did, at least once, think of how many people the "card services"scammers would not be able to rip off .By using this method just once you should notice the number of calls decrease! They don't want to contact people whom are known to waste their time.In the Oct-Nov issue of the AARP Bulletin it was stated the majority of the callers hired by the scamming telemarketers are drug addicts, making these calls to pay for their habit.Less calls-less successful scams-less money-less drugs for this group of annoying "people".

It does work the best! And keep them on the line as long as possible. They soon learn your number is one they're wasting time on and you'll see the amount of their annoying calls drop off.

You're correct! If we waste their time, we can cut off the funds going into the pockets of ALL of these disgusting "people", and possibly stop some uneducated or elderly person from being taken in by the "card services" scammers.

This number 402-982-0422 continually calls. I press 1 and either it immediately disconnects OR when it is answered I tell them to remove my number but they hang up before I can finish the sentence. I cannot begin to imagine how these calls can be stopped but I wish someone would figure it out

If you are receiving these calls on your cell, add the number to your reject list. That's what I do.

I got someone on the line ONCE! And what was funny and angered me even more was that when I asked them to remove my number and stop calling me they loudly yelled NO - MAKE ME and hung up. How in the world is this allowed?

Received several calls within the last week...I chose to press 1 to speak to a person rather than pressing 3 to be taken off the list.  When asked if I was calling to respond to the credit card debt offer, I asked how they got my number.  They promptly hung up on me!  My husband and I worked very hard to pay off all credit card debt and by choice we have NO credit cards.  These calls always say that this is your final notice...really?  If you miss answering this call and you try to call back, you get lots of static and then you're instructed to try again by dialing a '0' first.  I'm on a do not call list...wish it worked more.

There are many ways to get these calls to stop, but it is best not to specify the most popular ways in a public, written forum. Suffice to say each and every victim of this continuous harassment would be thrilled if these scammers got everything that is coming to them.

Every time I try to have my number removed they hang up on me.  Today I told them that I would love to take advantage of their offer but that I don't have any credit cards, she told me that I shouldn't have answered my phone then. What the heck you called me lady! She hung up before I could respond.

The method I use has worked for myself and others, and will most like work for you also if you care to try.It not only helps reduce or stop your incoming calls from these scammers but it also reduces the number of other unsuspecting people they can cheat.Google my name to see if you would like to try it.

Reporting them to the FCC (Do-not call) does absolutely nothing! I'm trying a new tactic. I did a reverse look-up of the phone number to find the owner's name and am suing him in small claims court for $500 per violation. If this works, I would encourage everyone to do this. That will stop them!
