- camilella replies to troopYes that is exactly how it works someone fro TRANSUNION actually told me they SELL our information! No need to be nasty to anyone on here save it for the [***] that call - we are all being harassed on a daily basis!
- FrustratedReceived a call from 402-982-0422 and pressed one to speak to a representative. When the person came on, I asked them to stop calling my number and they hung up on me. My number is on the do not call registry but it doesn't stop these guys. I've also complained about receiving calls from them but I think it will just continue. They have also called my phone from a number with an Arizona area code. I'm going to see if I can start adding these numbers to a block list from my cell provider.

- FedupThis is just one of 12 SPAM numbers that call me......I do not answer any more just decline or do not answer the call. They have been calling me for 2 years.
- DrewThe usual "lower you credit card rate" scam phone call. The only difference is this number has now called me 3 times. Usually, I only get one call from a certain number, before they move on to a new number and then call me from that one.

Washington , DC 20580 - Jan QReceived a phone call from this number once yesterday and twice today. I attempted to call them back and heard a recording saying "We're sorry, your call cannot be completed as dialed." Although I have let this number go to voice mail several times, now it seems like harrassment. The DNC list obviously isn't observed by these foks. Grrr!
- fedup| 1 replyIf you have the time and the inclination, answer the call and give them fake info. Let them waste their time with you and maybe they will get the hint.
- Caller: Unknown
- "Anthony H Slowitz" replies to fedupThat method has worked wonders for me.The calls from these scammers has dwindled down to near zero. They don't want to have their time taken up without being able to cheat someone. Also if you have a sense of humor, making fools of them can be quite amusing!
- JBJust download "Mr. Number" into your phone and set it to send all out of your calling area's phone calls to voice mail. The APP is free and works great. I installed it on my phone a year ago and not once have I gotten another Rachael or Heather call.
- Caller: Card Services

- the captain replies to RPMthey are routing their robo calls through magic jack I have called Magic Jack 561 594 9925 and ask them
to remove this customer, I am sure that someone who uses their service 100,000 times a day will show up
I suggest we all call magic jack to complain and I bet they will shut their service down if they get a 100,000 calls. BE PROACVTIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111 - WeezlemumI have asked this place to stop calling and I do not have any credit cards.. They either just hang up or tell me "number removed" and hang up. I am also on the do not call list for both my landline and cell phone. If I mention I am on the do not call list they hang up even quicker.. only to call back from a different number. This has been going on for a number of years now..Weezlemum
- Call type: Telemarketer
- KarnDogI have been receiving calls from these 'card services' telemarketers for over a year now. I have been blocking each number they have called with (over 35 at this point). And I have been filing complaints with the FTC Do Not Call Registry and the FCC complaint site, to no avail. I do suggest you all do the same, and do not talk to them or call them back.
But to really get some attention, I created a petition on the White House We The People site. Please go there and sign it, we have to get the word out any way we can:

- Anthony Zweiner replies to ETDExactly! - & What good are gun-control laws if the criminals are just going to ignore the law and obtain guns illegally anyway? It's the exact same argument.
I do believe that reporting each scam-call to the FCC will cause the FCC to eventually take action when they get enough complaints about a particular number or scammer... but many of these scammers are overseas and beyond the reach of the FCC.

No one can protect fools from themselves, so we all have to be alert to the rip-off artists and deal with them.. That's the beauty of private enterprise - This 800Notes.com website is a perfect example of the private sector coming up with a solution to expose the scammers and help others avoid getting ripped off through education.
The good news about the Do-Not-Call List is that at least the honest companies are not calling you 12 more times a day hoping to sell you something, but there's little you can do to stop the dishonest ones.
