Had this call on missed call that is why I screen all calls and if I do not recognize a number I google it to see if it maybe something like spam which this probably is, no hit no runs no errors thank goodness for a site like this.

got a computer generated call for credit card rates person i talked to said i called them.  when i tried to call back I found out the number is disconnected.  How can a disconnected number make a phone call.

Exactly !  I actually tried to call them back too,  and it said the number had been disconnected.  Therefore... the call of origin is unknown; and they are passing the calls thru a cancelled number so that the origin cannot be traced.   Screams pure Scam to me.

I have asked on at LEAST 20 occassions to stop calling and we are on the DNCL. They dont care. What good is this list in reality?

Annoying, RUDE call, they hang up if you start to tell them to stop calling - calling me at home and on my CELL - I want to report to all authorities!

Wow seriously everyone that has commented stop calling me or I AM ON DO NOT CALL LIST .... Is a huge idiot this is not a site for the company that is calling you. How did you even manage to register your number for a do not call list? I mean you have no idea what the hell is going on around you I hope they harass you every five minutes you deserve for being enormously stupid. I am on the list as well but you really think that someone trying to scam you is going to obey by that list? Best bet is to report the number and hope it gets shut down the list only stops legitimate companies who play by the rules. I have fun with them play along see what they want tell them to call back at a certain time and keeping doing it or be rude to them take out all your frustrations on them free stress reliefbut stop posting on a site telling the company to stop calling you. Thank you to everyone else who provided actual useful information on who is calling.

These [***] call me at all hours of the morning. Anyone do business with a bank that rhymes with base and suffer from this? If so, worth hearing about...mint.com has seemed to be a seller of info, womenshealth.com sells everything and freecreditreport is the worst of the lot. Shame on these businesses...avoid avoid!!!!

As with everyone else here, I just got the call stating "this the last time will we give you to change your credit card information. We will not allow your credit card to continue." I just hung up because I knew immediately it was a computer generated auto-call. It seems like they have a voice recognition software that hears you say something, then the recording starts playing. I figured it out when I picked up my cell to "hear" who was calling while I was on a conference call on my office line. As soon as I said something to my conference party, the recorded message started up.

One thing I used to do is send these phone numbers to the FBI. They have a site that allows you to send this type of information. The calls seem to stop immediately. I guess I'll have to start it up again. This is the second call I've received this week. Both phone numbers are disconnected when I called it back.

Got this number on missed call list, and wondered who is calling me from Atlanta GA? Googled number wanting to know what company this is. What company is it?

you do not have to give them your phone number. they select a block of phone numbers
like : 414-457-1000  to 414- 457-2000 and they program their machine to call them 1 at a time
until they get a fish that answer and they try to scam that person.
they wanted to reduce the interest on my credit, I HAVE NO CREDIT CARDS.

ANOTHER new # that's a scam I guess. 7/12/11 @ 11:23AM. A hang up as usual. What good is a DNC/Unlisted #? It does no good. I get so sick & tired of these creeps!

they keep calling my cell number,  i keep getting calls from all different area codes.
my grandson has a little machine that is called the final word and it has nasty sayings on it
so this time it asked to push 1 so i  did and a guy came on and i pushed the button on the machine and it said it few choice words and i hung up.   haven't heard anything from them in a couple of days

I had an amusing chat with them today.  When I asked what company they were calling from I was told that they "represent all Visa and MasterCard cards".  Ha!  I asked to be removed from their list, the guy badgered me until I told him that I don't have credit card debt and then he hung up on me.  Then I filed an FCC report.

At least I can take some comfort knowing that the bad guys are really dumb.  "All Visa and MasterCard cards"...

Just got a call on my direct line at work!  I pressed 1 and spoke to an agent who told me that he was not giving me a new card but could lower the interest rate on my existing cards!  REALLY!!  I told him I needed to speak to my husband and could I have a number to call back - he told me it was a call center and there is no number to give out.  I asked for a CS number but he said he needs to pre-qualify me first.  I told him I was NOT giving him any information today - all I wanted was a phone number to make this STOP!!!  I ended up hanging up.
