they had sum lady named nichole cochran call my job towards the end of sept. she left a message to call her before 3 pm or she will have an arrest warrant out for me. she had me pay 456 dollars in 2 times for payday loans from nov 2007. i paid it off an im still gettin calls from them harrassing me stating i didnt pay the whole amount off which i did. i wish i saved all my receipts an the note from my previous job but i do have proof by eye witnesses seeing me that i paid them by prepaid walmart cards. i still have the cards as well. i need a good lawyer to go after them for harrassment. i live in ohio an im at my wits end. dta changed their name to dnc on my vm but still have the same two numbers an the same case number...they need to stop

I got a call saying they was investergators for BMG whom I learn is a scam . They was trying to make me pay for a loan plus late fees 1100 dollars  which the original loan was'nt but 435 dollars . 463.21 was debit from my account 2010 so I don't owe anything. Thats why it's good check out things so many scams out there.

I also got a call saying I had 3 unpaid payday loans from 07 (never had loans) & offered me 3 diff settlement offer amounts none of witch made any sence I tould them I filed bk in 2010 & they said there not trying to collect a debt just give me a chance to correct b4 they file felony charges of ck fraud ... I've been a Debt Collector for a combine 7 years & you can't collect on a debt after bk & by them still req $ in exchange to avoide criminal charges is just like black mail & I also did a resent payday loan on line @ $ mutual (witch is paid off now) & since then I've receved 4 calls from 4diff companies all saying the same thing each time sounds like the same person first it was Civil Medeation Group Then The Omega Group, Oasis Medeation & Now DTA Investagations

I received message today from DTA claiming that I owed money for check fraud from April of 2008 and was being investigated on behalf of my credit union.  I of course called my bank since Officer Cochran claimed a warrant was going to be issued for my arrest.  My bank has no record of the debt or a bad check being investigated.  These people are scammers obviously, how can I stop these calls since they are also calling my parents home.  The number they left is a voice mail and doesn't even list the company

Called Ms Cochran today informed her that she needed to send me a verification of debt.  After I told her that she began yelling and telling me she wasn't going to what she would do was forward to my county prosecutor for check fraud when I informed her it was illegal to threaten jail time to collect a debt she hung up on me.  Hopefully I have heard the end of this woman and DTA.

i had to callout of work and deal with this today and i reshearced there company .............and found this site i was on the phone for hours while they hassled me to make payment ...... i read the post above  about them being an f rated company with the bbb and  not lisncesd to collect  on debts wirtten by doodah  on jan 26 2011 and  simply told them that i talk to an my attorney and he called the bbb and i need proof of there lisnces to take debt from my state and a copy of who they baught it from and a monthly copy onCOMPANY  LETTERHEAD listing the liscens and  where all the intrest came from ...... they immediatley told me they had no manager on site to give that information but could  assure me they could and had a lisnces at that piont i  brought up the fact that it is ILLEGAL to TELL some one they will be charged for fraud or have a bench warrent out  for my arrest which they told us .... they atomatically said they dont do that at there company and that that is not the type of company they run  and i said well some one did ...... my debt sold for 150 dollars in 2009 to a collection agency  i talk to 3 different copmapnys all saying it was 150untill i hit a dead end with a company that cosed down  and some where between there and these life threating people they told me my balnce was 1721.56  and i need to make pament today to avoid a bench warrent  and charges of check fraud which is abbsured .....  they will suposedly call me tommorrow whenthere manage is back in .........

OR they could really be scam artists trying to take advantage of people who were in need of a payday loan at one time.  My husband got this call even though he already paid the loans back.  Sometimes a scam is a scam is a scam and the only thing the victim did wrong was answer the scam artist's phone call.  Morally responsible people do exist; unfortunately, sometimes they get victimized by morally irresponsible people...

My employer got a fax from these people and want my information faxed to a certain phone number. I am glad I am reading this information because I was going to give my employer permission to fax it. Now I will tell them NO tomorrow. Thanks for all of the information.

I have gotten 2 messages, and was vevy concerned since we are seniors.  Evidently they are wacko"s that just want money! I will also have this # blocked. I will report to FBI also. Live in Boise Id. too.

I've had the same problem with this company. I reported them to the Internet Fraud Bureau. Paid off all my loans 3 years ago and have proof of payment. They didn't like to hear that. Bottom feeders.

Someone took out a payday loan in my name a few years ago.  My name and number is still in the system, after the lawyers had proved that I don't owe the money and the payday loan company wrote off/canceled the debt.  Apparently, that's how these people "DTA" (which is what they call themselves when they call me) got my name.

Just this week, I started getting calls from this company.  I called my lawyer, and he confirmed that this company is A SCAM and you need to report them to the FTC, FBI, police, etc...to try to take them down.  

They aren't even a real collection company.  They are EXTORTIONISTS and extortion is illegal.

This call came into my voice mail in one of my offices that I rarely use. Called back and was sent to a vm of an "agent". Glad I found this URL.

I keep getting a call from the same people.  Only they had me good.  They told me two weeks ago that if I didnt give them a card number to my prepaid card that they would have a pick up order and warrent for my arrest and I would go to jail for check fraud.  I filed bankruptcy and when I told them I file bankruptcy, they said my attorney lied to me when they said I could file bankruptcy on a payday loan because I commited check fraud.  This is a payday loan I got 2 years ago.  Only I was so scared to get arrested that I gave them the card number.  Then spoke to my attorney and they said I had been scammed and to shred my card and not ever use it.  They wanted 2600 dollars for a 500 dollar loan.  Well they needed the money by today, so they called my husbands number today because the money was not there, they couldnt arrest me and he told them they were full [***] so they hung up on him.

who are you to say we dont pay our bills.  I filed bankruptcy over a year ago on a payday loan and now I have this same company calling me and telling me I will have an arrest warrant for check fraud and I will lose my job, and everything and go to jail for atleast 2 years.  And not only did I claim bankurptcy on this payday loan, but the loan was for 500 dollars and this company is telling me I owe 2600 dollars.  Now you tell me that you would pay this company, cuz I know you would not.  Its not right for you to judge.  We are good people and pay taxed just like you and none of us deserve to be threatend the way this company is doing  to us.  And the company is trying to collect illegally.  It is illegal to pose as and officer and threaten to have someone arrested to try to make some one pay money they dont owe or cant afford to pay.

ive been getn this call for the last two weeks. never got the loan they are talking about and why is it they all are foreign speakin people. David allen of dta investigations called today and said me or my attorney had 24 hours to respond. i tried to call back but went to an answering machine. the last time i recieved these calls i had the number traced and it was somewhere in new york. this time its in georgia so whenever i reach someone im goin totally off and thats how i got them to stop calling last time. and the fact i told them my husband was a police officer, and i had found out their address and was signing an warrant and was going to have them arrested for stealing my personal information. the way i found out their address was online. heres a new number theyre calling from now. 404-935-9439. oohhhh also tell them youre recording this call.

Received similar call, told them that they would indict my wife for check fraud, I told them to send my local authorities and I would make her bond and then sit down with her attorneys, she then told me "I hope your relationship with each other is strong enough to withstand the fact that you just had her prosecuted."  HAHAHA, what a f*cking joke.

These people have called me and my husband at work. They faxed some paperwork to my husband's office.  It was to verify employment.  It was not sent back but of course she told me it was.  She wants me to make three payments.  What do I do?  I want them to stop calling.
