And for everyone asking "someone to look into it", Do your own work. If you read here, then it has information of what you need to do (and how it needs to be said).  Also make sure to tell them besides removing from the list, that you prefer to not deal with a company that hires people on probation or other criminals.  Everyone keeps asking the same thing, but they do not read through here as it explains who they are, how to stop, and everything in between.  No one else but you can get removed from the list.  If you just want to continue to ignore or hang up on them, you will keep getting the calls. You have to either answer and tell them to remove you from the list or call them and tell them that.

I bet she said "My name is ****** ****** calling from Charity Clothing Pickup on behalf of the American Red Cross" So I bet she did say, if you would have took a moment to listen

JoJo, You are slow, I see that.  IF you tell them to not call you anymore, it will work. Its part of their rules they have.  People get fired over hitting something by mistake (without warning or given a chance to fix it).

Thats stupid to begin with.  They have the information when they call you of the listed name, address, and phone number. They never ask when you leave or anything. the question is "My name is ***** *****, calling from chairty clothing pickup on behalf of American Red Cross", then explain about a scheduled pickup date they have coming through where your address is.  Yeah, that so sounds like they are fishing for private information or your families comings and goings.  The only thing that is asked of when they schedule or dont schedule a pickup is an email address. Yes, that is how they find out if you left to go to the store or out to eat, your email is a biological human tracing system that follows you everywhere. Numbnuts

Or follow my advice I have posted everywhere (which would work better than JoJo).  They do not get your number from Amvets, and as for Red Cross, they call FOR THEM.

If you are getting calls from the a*holes just block their calls. They are not going to stop if you tell them they have the wrong number, send them them a certified letter, report them to do not call list or report them to your attorney general.
If you have a home phone all you need to do is get a phone with caller id block. Uniden and Panasonic make them now. The uniden I have does not even ring once, just blocks their calls. If they call on your cell and you do not have caller id block, just save them as a contact and set their ringtone to no ring.

This is a scam company that picks up for the Red Cross, then sells your stuff for profit and gives tiny amount to charity. Avoid at all cost.

Nice to see you join the land of the slow minds David.  Everything has been explained about them (look at the post above yours) etc. You have to tell them to remove your number.  Because of the reports before, they have to obey the wishes but you have to specifically say Remove you from the list, you cant just say not interested, just hang up, just cuss them out, etc. Since you repeat this post of yours from other sites, how about just letting people see the true thing.  While they do not give a small percentage, its not a scam as 1: you still get a tax receipt as they say and 2: money still goes to the charity...thats all they ever say. They never promise 100% goes to the charity or anything.  They are a bunch of idiots and morons that run it, the employees are just trying to do what they are hired for and have no control how the company does business, so never take it out on them, as to talk to a manager or something, or just nicely ask them to remove you from the list

Thank you for this information This is the most useful info I have read yet. I wanted an address or location to let them know in writing to stop the calls. I will see what happens now. I have gotten calls for yrs from this number

Paula..you are stupid.  It is mentioned above who they are, why the are calling, and how to stop it.  You posted this why? when you could have just READ above and avoided that.

You seem to be a problem that alot of the people MPS talks to on the phone.  Either 1: Too old to live on your own because you do not understand simple things and makes people surprised you do not lock yourself out of the house or 2: You do not speak english.  I DO NOT care if you are from Mexico, Japan, Bosnia, or anything like that.  You move to America, you speak the language and understand the language to function at even a minimum level.  IF people moved to your countries to live, THEY have to learn your language, so learn ENGLISH or move back. Would probably save on the phone calls then.  

Next time..READ EVERYTHING before you post, so you can look like a scholar.

also received a call from 407 854 7180 at 8:50 AM...picked up phone on 2nd ring, and they were on the line but would not answer my "hello?"

Beware this is another company run business operating under the pretense of being a charity operation. What will the Telemarketeers try next ? **AVOID**

They do pick up for the American Red Cross. Go to the ARC site. I was unable to contact them through email as the form would not accept my phone number. Wanted to tell them they had just lost a contributor, permanently. These people are the worst harassers.
