don't want any more calls

This is another scam operation pretending to be something else. They call & call too frequently. Called the number back to ask to be removed from their calling list and they would answer and say please hold then after a short period just hang up! Every time they hung up I called right back and said I needed to talk with someone. But it was nearly always the same -- please hold followed by a hang up.So I said I will continue to call until they speak to me and they finally got tired of all my calls and finally answered. I asked them to remove my number from their calling list to which they said they would. So we shall see from now on. I will file a complaint every time they call now that I asked to be removed.

This is a scam company. Called them to remove my number from their robo call list. Never happened...instead I get calls from them at least 2-3 times a week and 2-3 times on the same day. When I asked them for their licence number they told me that they work for different charities.I do not pick up any calls if I do not know the number. If someone wants to contact me they will leave a message as to why they want to contact me and if I feel it is legit I will call back.
Today there are several old clothing and goods services run by private companies who will pay you by the pound for your old stuff which they sell overseas. So this Merchandise Pick up Svc must be selling the goods per pound and cashing on it. If you want to donate then give your stuff to local legal charaties such as Goodwill and Hospice. I personally prefer Hospice as I have seen the good that they have done to dying persons and their famalies. Be prudent with your stuff and nobody can talk you into doing something that you don't want to do.

I answered a call from Merchandise Pic this morning a little after 8 a.m. since my daughter was sleeping and I didn't want it to wake her up. The young lady said there would be a truck in my area (Brevard Co., Florida) next week and did I have any clothes or small appliances to donate to the Red Cross. I said no and then she asked for my email address. I told her I did not give out my email to anyone I did not know. Don't know if it is legitimate or not but I have gotten quite a few calls from this number in the past, but this is the first time I have answered.

This caller ID showed up as NAME NOT FOUND. The number showed up as +11-407-854-7180. I am guessing that the +11 is fictitious. Area cose for the UK is +11. Would be a good idea to get this company investigated. It is MERCHANDISE PIC. If they are operating for different charaties why do they have to call once or twice daily. They probably are a for profit company who collects ols clothes and household goods and then ships them overseas. There are local companies in Florida who advertise that they will pay by the pound for old clothes and household stuff. So make people aware to donate to known charaties in the area that actually have a real store. Blocked their other number 407-416-0875 so now they are using this number. SCAMMERS! Hope they get caught by the authorities. I am looking into starting an investigation with the local police.

Called at 8:01 AM. That's a sure way to get "NOTHING" due to sheer lack of consideration. Been calling for weeks, day and evening, no let up. Complete bunch of @%^#$*&^.

I just called the number and asked them to please take me off their call list, that I would call them if I had anything to pickup. She was very nice and said she would take care of it. I'll see if she does I'm so sick of their calls that do not leave a message.

I want my telephone number removed from this list.

The ARC does NOT EVER initiate a call to you for supposed pick up!  EVERY time there's a national disastor you are asked to donate $$$$$ not goods so they can purchase what is truly needed NOT what carpy clothes you want to clean your closet out of.  HOAX- they'll take your "stuff" and sell it at the flea market.  THIS IS NOT THE ARC.

The American Red Cross does NOT initiate calls to pick up donations- quite the contrary.  After every natural disastor well meaning people send donated old clothing and other items they feel is usefull.  They mean well, but MOST of it gets destroyed and taken to a landfill.

Called at 8:40 a.m. and answering machine picked up to a fax machine. I guess they are back in business.

this company "Merchandise Pic"  is a scam company ! ! ! !   Many people have also posted unwanted calls back as far as 2009. . . . we are now in 2014, and this company is still scamming the public !!!

they have called me every day six times a day, and in spite of my telling do not call and hanging up, they continue to harass me. Next stop . class action law suit for harassment.

I called the Orlando office and threatened a lawsuit as I have given them a verbal cease and desist.  Interestingly enough, the calls have now increased to 5-9 times a day, including 8:30 am on a Saturday.  You'd think the Red Cross would stop them from calling you if they truly want to be on your good side.
Besides, the caller always claims (in reading many posts about this number) "we have a truck in your area tomorrow."  Really, EVERY DAY?????

This number IS on the American Red Cross Website to pick up clothes.  When you call the # you get "Chairty Clothing" recording.  
They uesed to call 3-5 times a day despite me issuing a cease and desist.  Now they call 5-9 times a day, especially after I complained to Red Cross.  At this point I'd rather throw the clothes out than let them have anything.  Really???? You want to harass the people you want help from?

Just callled that number- idiot said "I havew no control over that and the office is closed."

He could NOT provide the number for said office.
