i received the call this morning in Toronto - i let it go...no message was left...googled the number and now have added it to my cell phone address book as "phone scam"...thanks for the info....

Be carefule guys and don't trust this kind of calls, don't give any details, they want the credit card number and details and then we don't know what gonna happen. This is definitely a scam. I don't know how the government doesn't protect the customers from this kind of faked people who are trying to steal this way.

The RCMP doesn't want to handle the file so I contacted PhoneBusters, CTRC, CMA and a company (Sentinel) in the States that works with the gov, FBI, BBB and many other companies.  Hopefully it gets some where so that these scum are stopped!

They are back! And calling Nova Scotia.   I don't answer phone numbers who won't show their name on caller ID.

These hard-up,sexually frustrated MFs called me in England! Got a recorded message, apparently I had been "specically selected" (?what? for a scam?). Didn't bother pressing 9 ... was too angry ... I hate being called by a f***ing computer!! Googled the number and then international variations and came to this great page ...

Can't wait for them to call me back!! It's good to vent for a couple of minutes at these paedophiles - who needs yoga!

got a call this afternoon, and let it go to voicemail... no message (big surprise)...

They're calling Halifax area now, twice in the past couple days.  Judging from this forum they're quite persistent

Wow, I just got the call 5 minutes ago in Dartmouth NS.  I hung up when I heard the offer.  I then came onto Google and searched "randomly selected win vacation press 9" and found this thread :)  Pretty funny!

Received a call from 407-965-0600 to say I had won a trip. I hung up since I don't talk to pre-recorded messages. However, I was charged for the phone call ?

Have had multiple calls from this number to Halifax area in the past 2 weeks.  Never leave a message, just see the number on the call display...they have been calling in afternoon (noon-2pm) and then in the evening (between 5-8pm)

I got that number calling me today. thankfully they just hung up as soon as I asnwered it. I'm trying to call them back, but all I can say is that personally I wouldnt press 9, or whatever number that they are asking you. Its been on the news alot about when you press a certain number on your phone the scam artists can retrive all of your information.

Yep, we are near London, Ontario, just got a call here tonight at 7:34 pm.from same above telemarketing  number.These have been non stop, 24 / 7 , all hours, no message on machine calls for some time now.
If you stay on the line long enough a "human" will come on the line, don't press anything. When I was told I had won a trip to Florida, I continued to allow them to make their spew,than I turned the tables by asking them questions, like, where did you say you were calling from? ( he changed the subject), and how did I supposedly win this trip?( he proceeded to state that my name and number was drawn from a ballot I had previously submitted), I asked, where did I submit this draw ballot at? ( A draw from a year and a half ago he stated), And what city did I do this in? (He stated to me that it was submitted while I was on holidays last summer) I thought to myself , yeah OK. Funny thing is , the guy didn't know my name and I was not about to share that with him either, nor did he know my address either, however he did ask if I use a credit card to pay for trips I do take, and if so if I would give him the number to verify their contact info.I did not . I kept him on the line, "playing him" the same length of time he was trying to get info from me.Didn't work tho, he got absolutely nothing from me,finally I had informed him that if I had actually submitted any ballots anywhere in the world, than the person calling me about a win, would actually know my name and telephone number and address, furthermore I was  reporting  him online( as we  spoke ) to authorities in his state and vicinity and to  our canadian authorities as well. This " piece of work" literally slammed the phone down and as of yet tonight I have not received another call from the number. My advice to all receiving these calls, PLAY THEM, they will hang up so quick and run.I have a feeling I will not receive another call from this "jerk".

Just got an automated call in Kent (UK) saying that I had won a great prize, I just left the phone on the table and heard the message repeated a couple of times, then a dial tone. I hoped that I was running up their phone bill, but was reminded by my wife that they are likely to using VOIP free...

Got a call from 0407 8560600 at my home number in Devon / UK. I have been selected for something and asked to press 9 on my phone. The voice was automated so I hung up............

they called me i hung up but for 10 mins couldn't use my phone becase thoses [***] didnt hang up and kept the line open! im in cornwall uk how the hell hey get my number!"" somone should do somthing about these [***]
