Said they would freeze my accounts and it wasn't a solicitation these people are rip off artists do not trust them!

This # call me 4 times telling me they win freeze my bank account and so.

Same recorded message here, bank accounts and tax returns will be frozen. Left a call back number of 844-880-5803. Total BS scam. PS, I'm in Florida.

I've gotten this call many  times on my personal cell as well as my work.  I got one today and answered "Good Morning, Stanislaus County Fraud Division."  They hung up!

I just got the same call. I know I don't owe anyone. The had my address and called my Mom and said they were looking for me. She was worried and I told her it was a scam. It isn't real. I forwarded the info to our sherriff.

Got a call from same number called it back,
The guy sounded professional asked me if my name was so and so, I said yes and then he read off my social to me. How do thay know this?

Amen to that! Some of these calls sound legit and that's why I'm so glad there's a site like this to protect us from falling for these scams. I went through a divorce recently and now I do have issues with credit and I am always so worried when I get a call like this. It's not easy transitioning into a 1 income household, becoming a single mother, and now have to be the primary and only household income. These scamming pieces of filth take advantage of honest hard working people that are already struggling and they want to steal what little you have. It's despicable!!! I've been scammed once and then I found this site and have avoided being scammed again. That scamming scumbag took me for over $700 and I was already struggling. Then to no fault of my own, my checking account was hacked and my entire paycheck deposit plus the little bit I had in it for bills was transferred into another account. I reported it to my bank and the attorney general in my state but never heard a word about whether they even pursued it. I had to wait 10 BUSINESS DAYS for the bank to complete their investigation and refund my money. It was the longest 2 weeks of my life and I had $36 to my name to try and get by on. If I could get my hands on either one of those scamming dirt bags, I'd throttle with my bare hands!
Our elected officials need to step up and DO SOMETHING and provide STIFF SENTENCES! I don't understand why they can't be tracked down?! With all our technology, it should be a no-brainer! ALWAYS REPORT, REPORT, REPORT! If enough of us do it, maybe then the officials will FINALLY step up and do something about it.

Scammers such as these tend to spoof the number you see on your caller ID so tracking them down isn't as easy as TV would have you believe. Reporting them is good but you can also help yourself by investing in a call blocker if you don't already have one and when at all possible, never answer calls from unknown numbers. And never simply pay some random caller who claims you owe money! Demand they follow the law by mailing you proof of both the debt and that they are legally entitled to collect that debt.

Called me three times in a row with the same recording as stated by others....accounts will be frozen .... I tried calling back and I get..You have reached ACC then a recording of press 1 to speak to a case manager. Recording on my vm said to call 844-880-5803...Same recording..you have reached ACC press 1 for an account manager.

I received 6 calls from this number over the course of 2 minutes! I didn't answer because I was away from my cell. No Voice messages were left.

They just called me and it’s a company that is taking over any debts owed to Marinello Schools Of Beauty they can not do anything to your taxes or bank accounts they are not a state or federal entity because state and federal won’t call they send and info thru the mail. They are legit but they are also full of [***]. I’ve been called by them ever since Marinello closed and when they first called they claimed I owed a little over $600 then every time after that it’d go up by about $200 everytime and every time I ask for some form of paperwork that proves I owe what they say I never receive anything but it never fails I always get a call around tax season.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.  

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.

They have called my employment. I dont take phone calls at work. The owner has called the number left and requested them not to call anymore and they still do. They contacted a former employer that I haven't been at in 16 years. I've called and requested them to call me on my cell after 5.
