Said that I had interest in college information and had filled out a form. I said that I had no clue what he was talking about (the name was Nathan I believe), so he proceeded to bombard me with other offers. I interrupted and asked him to remove our number from his list.

Just got a call from this #.  I answered and a guy said, "Hello, is XXXX there?"  I said, "Yes, this is XXXX."  He said, "Ok, thank you," and hung up.  I tried calling back and got a recording that simply said, "Thank you.  Good bye."

I Googled this company per this website and got their toll-free #.  I left a message and DEMANDED that they do not contact me again or I WILL report them to the FCC and BBB for harassment.

These are obviously phishing calls.  Just making sure you are who you say you are.  The weird thing is that I've never had anything to do with any online schooling or anything like that.  WTF?!

Received 2 calls this morning.  I called back and the greeting said "Career Institute".  I pressed 1 to talk to someone but got another greeting, something like "If you have received a call then someone in your household has expressed an interest in being matched with college courses...please leave a message".  I left a message to remove my number from their list.

I was called 2 times wanting to know if I wanted to talk about my online classes and the financial aid of those classes. I immediately called my college because they said that they were from my college, and they wont.

Got calls from this one for the 2nd time last night. (Didn't answer the first) Nathan called to talk about the college classes I signed up for online. You guessed it. Already have a degree and have it paid off (after many long years) no way in hell am I looking for another. When I explained that to him he started in on a high pressure "free gift" of a home security system. The man would NOT shut up! I must have told him "No" 30 or 40 times in less than a minute. When he stopped for a breath I spit it out real fast that my answer is no and any further calls would be considered harrassment. We'll see....

File a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry.
https://www.donotcall.gov/ That is the only way we can get them to stop.
The registry seems overloaded with traffic but if you hit the Stop button, then resubmit a few times it will eventually be accepted.

They Called Saying i Filled Out Some Survey For College Classes

The person hung up on my daughter when she asked if she could take a message. I can tell you that this company is a telemarketing company. As I have worked in the field for about 3 years. And more than likely it is from filling out some sort of online application / survey. That is how these companies get there leads.

Got called a few minutes ago, asked for my Fiance, I played dumb and said um no, in a really harsh voice. guy said ok goodbye and hung up before i could tell him to take me off the list.

I saw this call on my caller ID 8.5.09.  The call was made at 5:30 P.M.  No message was left and when I called the number the message I got was that the call had not gone through.

I just called this number this a.m. and was caught in a voice mail maze.  The answerer did say:  This is the Career Institute and a call was placed to my number due to an interest in college by someone in my household."  I never talked to a live person, but did leave a message demanding my telephone number be removed from their call list and stating that if my number was not removed from the call list, I'll be reporting the company to the Ohio AG's Office,.

i got a call and the man on the phone told me that he recieve information that i signed up to take online college classes and i said i didnt recall signing up for anything and then he asked if  would i be interested in it and  i said yea maybe if i wasnt still in high school and then he just hung up. That shows you that they are  desperate to just call random people who dont even qualify for what they say we signed up for.

some college here too - crazy - I didn't awnser & they didn't leave a message. I'm on the 'do not call.gov' list too.....hate this stuff
