- DorisGot a robo call from this number Feb. 1 at 12:00 p.m. The message says it is my last opportunity to lower my credit card interest. I don't carry a balance AND I am on the DNC list.
- Caller: doesn't say
- Regular JoeRecording. It says, ...Financial Stimulus. Press 1 to take advantage of this today.

The article says that violators can be penalized, "up to $16,000 per call"... but doesn't say who gets to keep that money. Based on my experience with attempting to get the SEC to penalize violators, the Feds keep the fines and we go to all that trouble to document the violations without any compensation for our time and effort.
Does anyone know if the FCC splits the $16,000/call with the victims? If so, I'll be rich soon because I document every one of these calls if I'm home when they call... and I know my evidence will stand up in court.
I can't think of a better way to shut down the phone abusers than to offer financial incentives to the victims if they can document the violations. Does anyone know if there is such a plan in place?
BTW, the Aug 2009 article boldly stated that 'robocalls' would soon be history - That was 3-1/2 years ago... I wonder what the author's conclusion was based on because robocalls are worse than ever! - VrchotaKeeps calling, waking us up...DO Not call list....
- cme replies to RJIf you get a call from this telemarketer, please file a complaint with the FCC and FTC: http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx. If they receive enough complaints, they'll investigate. In addition, they send information on how to file a lawsuit. Recently, they shut down five of these scams.
- Basketball MomGot numerous calls from this number. Very annoying!!

- AnonymWell "Rachel and the gang" are still operating and they have a new number as I have blocked all the others.
There is no way to get them to stop, all you can do is block
They cannot even stop the "good citizens" that are cheating the welfare/section 8/ food stamp/disability programs causing our States to go deeper in debt, how are they going to stop scam/robo callers from annoying us.
We all need to take the fight to our phone service providers, both cell and land line and just keep badgering them to do something, they are the ones that are actually letting these calls go through yet give us limited blocking ability.- Caller: Credit Services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- scammedout replies to AnonAll pressing "2" does is put you back into their system. It tells them your number is live and you answer. I've reported them to State and Federal sites, I've tried to call back, I've pressed 1 and yelled "take me off your telephone list", I've pressed "1" and nicely asked them to remove me (they hang up). I pressed "1" and told them I don't have a credit card. I'd go through my lending bank anyway as they would meet any low interest rate to keep your business. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY CREDIT CARD INFO!
I'm also on the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY and if they are scammers they don't care. Familiarize yourselves with TCPA and CSPA laws and if you ever get an address or a company name if you file a Complaint they can be fined up to $16,000 per call. I could be living in a castle on the beach having drinks with umbrellas in them as much as they call me. I will keep trying.... - scammedout| 1 replyAll pressing "2" does is put you back into their system. It tells them your number is live and you answer. - Joey O replies to scammedoutDo Not Call has become useless!! I'm on the list for years, I complain and they keep calling. The parasites are even calling people and claiming to be from the Do Not Call list (there is a warning on the Do Not Call
home page).
Today 417-800-2325 Lower Interest called and when I asked to be removed from their list she hung up.
On 01/11/2013 417-800-2333 Card Services called probably the same people.
I have been getting a lot of calls since this past year but I do not answer I have caller id. From now on I'm
going to make it a point to report all numbers to Do Not Call. I will probably be wasting my time because our government has become a JOKE!! - Heidi replies to RJCalled me today. 2/6/13. Always check before I answer. Stupid spammers.
- rustyemsThese people called me. I did not recognize the number , but I did recognize the area code. I used to live in the Missouri area. I hung up. I will try and block these people. Don't even feel like talking with them to tell them to stop. How in blazes do these people get a cell phone number when you hardly use it AND it is your back up phone anyway?
- Caller: card services
- Call type: Telemarketer
- randy schaeferrobo call on my cell thought the government took care of these [***]
- James MullaneyI am on do not call registry and keep getting calls about lower my interest rate. I want it to stop.
- Caller: Reduce Interest rates on credit card
- Janet RobertaThis is a scam. It's a recording offering to lower your interest rates. I have no interest. I pay in full at the end of the month.
If you fall for their first line they go in for the kill. They ask for your CC #'s.
They call here everyday! at least once. - Janet RobertaP.S. to above
It's important that you don't answer the phone when this comes in. It lets the auto dialer know it's a valid # and puts you back into the system for more calls.
