I've been getting calls from "card services" for quite awhile now. Today I answered the call and pushed the 1 on the phone. When the other party answered I told him, " Do not call me again or I will get them for harrassment." The guy replied, "F**** You. I told him I'm on the do not call list and not to call again. Then I hung up.

You should've told him you lost your card in his Third World sewer and ask him to jump in it to find the credit cards number.

This is the second time in two days that the firm called here. It seems that they despite having some component shut down, they want to continue this nonsense. Of course the funny part is that immediately after the stall, they hang up. Ideally what they are doing is illegal and irresponsible.
Of course this time there was no name mentioned. But the voice was the same as before.

Have been getting calls from this number....I have had it with these calls. I waited to talk to someone a couple of times and when I asked them "how do i get my number off their list" they hang up on me. I called the number and when they ask if you want to talk to someone push 1. Then no one is available they tell you to leave your number. So I just let the tv run for the two minutes allowed, then I call back again and do the same thing. If everyone does this they might stop the calling. One feature they have is to leave your number and they will take it off. It is their responibility to check the do not call list, not ours to give them our number so they can take it off of their list, if they really do that. I do block my number so that they don't know who is calling them.

Got a call from this # 9:30 am this morning.  The lady said she'd lower my interest rates & has no idea what I even have.  I told her I have $50,000 worth of debt & would love to lower it right now & she hung up on me.  I cracked up.    Also am on the do not call list which no one respects or even cares about, its a joke.

The DoNotCall Registry works on voluntary compliance like speed limit signs on highways. Honest telemarketers honor the Registry, abusive telemarketers and scammers do not. Conversely, if you are on the Registry and you receive telemarketing calls, you may be sure they are from abusive telemarketers or scammers so toy with them as you wish, they are begging to be messed with. Do you have a whistle, air horn or screaming smoke alarm to greet them with?

For all the Whistling Warriors out there: http://www.thelocal.de/society/20120522-42685.html

(In truth, audio limiters in the phone systems limit the maximum amplitude, and I suspect the claim above should have been denied as unfounded.)

Constant calls from this number almost every day and they say "this is you 2nd and final call..." I WISH!. Waited and spoke to someone who spoke very bad english and told them I wanted to talk to someone who could take me off their call list because for one thing I do not even have a credit card and wanted no more calls from them. They hung up on me! I am on the do not call list and that doesn't seem to help a thing! I redialed the number today, many times, and simply get a busy signal. WHY CAN"T SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

21 documented calls from this scam is the past 12 months from 16 different numbers. Several times I've filed a complaint with the National Do Not Call Registry web site but Credit Card Services stays in business. I've asked them to put me on the Do Not Call List as instructed but they keep on calling. I assume I am entitled to $500 for each call plus a tripled because they knowingly and willfully violated the DNC rules. Think I will ever get the $10,500 or $31,500? NO WAY, just want them to stop!

I happened to be home this afternoon and a call came in. I answered and pressed 2 to speak with someone. I was all charged up and ready for the caller to answer. To my disappointment all I got was two minutes of incredibly stupid, and I mean stupid sounding piano music with some woman's voice vocalizing along with it. There's always next time:)

NPR ran a report quoting one of their re.  It aired 1/1/2013 if I remember correctly.
They also detailed some of the difficulties faced by the FCC in prosecuting such scammers.

    Anyway,check out www.phonetray.com software.
You will need a modem with voice capability.
I've been using an external modem for over a decade; so I don't need to buy a new modem everytime I upgrade systems.

Thanks for the list P.Doff !

Yet another call from the "Card Services" scammers.  They can never tell that my machine has picked up so I only get the recording mid-way through.  Something about "this is your second and final notice..."  It's more like my 200th call and it's never the final notice unfortunately!  This call came through on Dec. 26 at 10:47 am.  Idiots!
