RUDE reps that pop chewing gum while on the phone. Say they're in Orlando FL. When I ask for their address, they get RUDE.

    Scammer Slammer
It does no good to "press 2" to be removed from their call list.  All that does is verify for them that yours is a working number.  The Feds are slow movers on these crooks, but recent articles indicate they are making progress.  Let's hope so.

This was the second and last call for me (HOOORAYYY!!!!) to lower my interest rate (I do not have one) using the FINANCIAL STIMULUS regulations.  Oh, so now they have a better line they think to scam innocent people.  I sure hope not, however, a scammer using a newly established bill, if/'when caught should be prosecuted much more we can hope?  Yes, they change the phone number.  No, it is not a Nevada area code -- it is Springfield MO -- but the guy could be doing robo calls from Orlando as mentioned.  Or any other place he wanders to avoid the Feds?  May their days be numbered...

    Cash only!
I received a call from this number yesterday on my cell phone.  The recorded message said they were calling regarding my credit card account that they could lower my interest rates on my credit card.  I pushed 1 to speak to a live person, indicated I was on the do not call list and further that I know they are not calling from my credit card company because I don't have any credit cards.  The guy then hung up on me.

I was going to ignore that until I answered the phone at my job and got the same recorded message from the same number.  I pushed 1 and spoke to Robert.  I told Robert that they called my cell yesterday and were instructed not to call me again, that they were calling my work at a law firm and that I don't have any credit card accounts.  Robert then flippantly asked me "you work at a law firm and you don't have any credit cards."

I promptly told him it's none of his ____ing business and do not call me again ever!  Now I will take further action.  Everyone should!  These guys are ridiculous.

    Card Services again.

I know the caller id number itself is spoofed to try and hide where they are at. There is a very simple fix for this. Contact your Congressional representatives and tell them the law needs to be changed so that the caller id information comes from the phone company or reseller itself not the local equipment at the callers location. They will claim it is too much work but be sure they readily have this information as they have to use it for billing the customer the number is leased to.  Make them liable and you will see this type of stuff dry up.

Your scamming callers do not maintain this site or this web page. No callers can magically determine which numbers should not be called based on anonymous comments. Criminals who mass-dial and violate the Telemarketing Sales Rule have no plans to stop calling you no matter what you say and regardless of your DNC registrations. They need first to be sued or jailed.

Great plan. First you have to positively identify the call source. Then you need it to be within your national borders. The credit reprice scammers don't make your prosecution easy, to put it mildly.

Here's a link to a site which helps explain the scope of the problem and why the credit reprice scammers are hard to control:

Received call on land line from this #, 9:00 EST 1-18-13.  Invoked new policy of not answering.  They let it ring three times, then hung up.  No message.  Assuming it's Robo-Rachel, or one of her kin folks.
