Answered and got a recorded message about loan modification. Complaint filed with the FTC

Picked up the phone and it was some tweaker dude on a phishing expedition trying to get my SS# and loan numbers. It's a totally bogus operation trying to get banking and personal information. After stringing him on, I hung up and called Santa Barbara PD.

I got a call at 9:15 this evening and my caller ID's batteries went out, so being as late as it was I answered. It was some infectious moron wanting to lower my interest rates. I told the caller that my great uncle is still part of one of New York's old world syndicates, and he'd like to pay you a visit for disturbing his favorite great nephew. The caller disconnected fast!

this machine calls about once a month or it used to last year. Today it called offering a loan modification service. I just kept the phone on speaker and the message repeated itself 3 times then hung up. I have complained about this number with the FTC before.

Yet another call from these illegal folks.  I'll file a DNC violation, for all the good it will do.

Received several calls. I never bother to answer as I know it's just another scam.

Several days post robocall, Amerifi Realty, CA DRE # 01522899, 1017 N. La Cienega Bl #309, W. Hollywood/LA 90069 called.  Per the bbb, Amerifi has received previous complaints about robocalling and telemarketing numbers on the DNC Registry. Amerifi called from 310-855-9218.

No msg left.

They called when I wasn't home.  Caller ID said "Mod Dept." No message left.  Jerks.

Robocall promoting home loan.  Called during the Super Bowl, which made me SUPER ANNOYED.

Robocalls that sell anything are ILLEGAL per FTC unless caller has prior written permission from consumer.

Two hangup calls from these morons today, the second one at 1035 am.

They called Feb 5th, 2013, twice -trying to get a credit card number from my husband-saying they were our credit card company!  If they call you, hit the ## sign repeatedly & hangup.

how do you live with yourself?

kt i have done that also..a few times..where is the protection the do not call registry brags about?..I'm getting more phone calls since i signed up over 5 years ago...did they forget what their job was?

pat and monica..I'm glad and hope it works..but they broke the law to begin with by not checking the do not call list...one should not have to call a law breaker and ask him to stop doing so...but that is what i'll end up doing....

These callers are pustulating wens but as freaking annoying as they are it's always fair game when I answer one them. However this "MOD Dept." operates under a plethora of different phone numbers that's been calling me for almost two years now. I've answered on several occasions only to dead air. I always have my adlib routine ready for action, but for some reason this "MOD Dept." is silent upon answering the call. Well, there's always tomorrow:) By the way, what the devil is this "MOD Dept." anyway? March of Dimes? What, what is it?
