Just called 8:30 at night. Kept answering "who is this" and they kept hanging up and calling back.

Called me at 8:30 PM as well. My daughter is in the hospital, and when I get calls at odd hours I think it's the hospital with bad news for me. I was so pissed to see it was this mod dept. crap again. At the same time I was relieved it wasn't the hospital.

Caller ID said call from Hermosa Beach CA. Since cities don't call I have never answered. They have never left a message. They call twice a nice. During the Oscars they called three times. I am on the national do not call list. I wish someone would shut them down.

They called again at 6:23pm.

Their call was instantly blocked.

Buy a call blocking phone.  They're inexpensive and they work wonderfully.  

Check out Panasonic and Uniden phones...I have both and love them!

When are morons like these going to realize that robo callinging only pisses people off? If I want a product/service, I will seek it out myself. I would NEVER do business with someone who cold called me, even if I was seeking that product/service. The real suckers here are the companies that buy these robo call services believing that they work. I hope they paid a lot of money for it!!

These are Bunch of [***] who harass people , they should be sent to jail for life for doing this, ln modificatrion dept, is there any thing we can do to give it back to them or report to police to track these [***] down ????

Still getting calls every day from the "Mod Dept" Loan Fraudsters. These scam artists just laugh at the Federal Do Not Call regulations and thumb their noses at every state Attorney General. They know nothing short of a slap on the wrist and a few hundred dollars in fines is the worst that will happen. Time to fire all Attorney Generals who do not take these lawbreakers seriously and prosecute heavily.

Called, nobody home.  Good riddance.  Caller ID said Mod Dept.  In answer to Desi, yes, sue them in small claims court for each call.  OR hire a lawyer and do a class action suit. Don't get angry, get $$, make them BROKE!

Well, I just got a call from this one too.  

To those who say the do not call system does not work... it does work... kinda.
As far as I know, the only "easy" way to report a caller you believe is a violator is to call or go to the Do Not Call website and give them the number... what number is that, the number off of the caller ID, right?
After getting so many numbers on the ID that read like 234-000-0000 or 999-9999 or 234-5678, it doesn't take long to realize these crooks can make your caller ID say anything they want it to, anything but their real number.

I figure under those circumstances the only way to get at 'em is to go through the whole sordid process of filing a complaint with the telephone company, who then refer you to your local police, who give you a case number, which you then call back up and give to the phone company so they can go ahead and put a trap on your line.

I have been though this process more than once... once, with a particularly abusive collection agency who refused to accept my repeated assertions that they had the wrong number.
If they finally do catch who's doing it they may still be legally forbidden to give you any of the details like any of their real numbers, names, company name or street addresses.
As I recall, the only information they could tell me was the type of business, a collection agency, and the state they had been calling from.

Now, that's what I had to go through and my little story happened before there was a do not call program.  I'm guessing nowadays once you've gotten that far into launching an investigation they can go ahead and forward whatever information they can't tell you to the do not call registry or FTC or whatever, but who has the time to go through all that?!

After all the hoops I had to jump through (which, by the way, did not stop the calls) it has become my considered opinion that the telephone system in this country needs an enema.

Just received another call in only 30 minutes!!! Let's get rid of the California Attorney General. She is paid WAY too much to sit around doing nothing about telemarketing scams. Note to Kamala D. Harris: please DO SOMETHING!

A couple of calls from this number is afternoon.  Caller ID says "Hermosa Beach, CA".  Left no msg on answering machine.

Typical scamming jerks. May Karma reward these [***] and their families with devastating financial and health hardships as a result of their spamming, scamming ways.

This machine calls about once a month and I have not learned to answer the call on speaker phone and if you don't answer it will hang up. It's the usual loan modification machine that calls. I have tried to press one of the numbers stated to speak to someone but when I do and ask to be removed from their calling list they quickly hang up. I have also pressed the number stated to re removed from their list and the still keep calling. I have also filed a complaint with the FTC but nothing seems to be done.

I know this company conducts this robo calling with a few different numbers with the same message.

Same as all my other reportings - just leave me alone!

Calls never leaves a message.. called back #1 supposedly puts me on do not call list..Hermosa Beach
