Several calls - voice volume up & down so can't understand message or phone number to call back since listed as unavailable on cell.  Changed greeting so they would know that I wasn't the person they are looking for - had same number for 2+ years.  This morning got phone number on cell but no message. Finally just blocked number on cell phone....

Yes, it is Evergreen, a collection agency.  In my case they were sent my account from Group Health Cooperative regarding outstanding medical bills.  What was odd is they left a message that bears the words, "If this is not Robert, please step away from the phone", before they continue on about the phone call being an attempt to collect a debt.  Even if I wasn't Robert, someone telling me to "step away from the phone" would probably make me more intent on hearing what the message was.  Besides, in this day and age, how do you step away from a cell phone?  Lol.

Just got a call from this number, asked for my friend, said she wasn't available, asked to take a message, all she said was my name is BJ, just wanted to say hi, do you know when she'll be home. I told her I wasn't sure, she said she'll call later....Searched the number and it brought me here.... I'm going to report this to our AG's office. Misrepresenting who you are I'm pretty sure is a against the law.....

i have gotten a call from this company as well, if all of you are soo worried and scared they are a scam and the big bad wolf why dont you grow up and call them back? hello? grow a brain if a coll agency is calling you just because you dont remeber having a debt doesnt always mean you dont have any in my case i forgot to pay a medical bill i had no clue i owed a debt i called ever prof and they told me who the debt was from i called my dr's office and sure as hell i had a bal, which i then paid with everprof, so how about all of you stop whining about getting the phone calls and call these people back and pay your bills.

You should NEVER publicly display your phone number. And this is not an agency that blocks calls it is merely a record of who has called people.

Collection jerks. They know they can't collect on a debt older than 3 years. But choose to continue to harass people who don't know that.      >>THEY KNOW the LAW.   Report to AG.

just an fyi the statue of limitations is 7yrs for collection agecnies. you might want to google the fdcpa b/c you are very wrong.

They (Alexa from Evergreen) left a message on my cell phone similar to everyone on here , saying that if I'm not "my name" that I should step away from the phone and that I need to call them back 'today'.
They've called twice, I haven't answered either time, they left a voicemail both times. June4th and now June 20th 2013.

They do not tell me who want money from me or what the amount is and I have no recollection of having debt and I have received no bills or anything in the mail.

I re-registered my number to the do not call list, and under that web site, goto 'file a complaint' and there is a link regarding debt collector spam. Follow that process, at least that's what I did. I don't know if it'll help.

People are being harassed for debts that have been discharged in bankruptcy, belong to someone else, do not exist or are beyond the SOL and uncollectable in a court of law. YOU grow up.

Called early this morning (8:55AM 6/28) did not answer.

I received a call and voice message from this number, I returned  the call, and spoke to someone from Unified Billing, I found out I owe Group Health a partial payment for costs not covered by my insurance from a visit 3 months ago. Not any problem with the person on the phone. I told her I would call Group Health and pay the bill. She thanked me, wished me a nice day and hung up.

Got a call from this number from a person named Staphanie, said who they were but not who they are trying to reach. I just blocked the number. we have no outstanding debts so no reason for a collection agency to be calling us.

Ask the person who is calling, company name, original creditor and request for debt validation to send to your address. Write everything down your conversation on what time and who's the person you talked to.
