I received a call on my work phone after they called my husband at his business and my son on his cell phone and told them they were trying to get in touch with me about a personal matter. When questioned about the personal matter they said they were trying to help me as they had a case in their office and they were not calling from a collection  agency and they were not debt collectors or telemarketers. They said I was about the be arrested and that the case was going to the state attorny generals office and that they were trying to help me out since I was the primary on the account. Called them back three times no phone call back. I have filed a chapter 13 on an auto loan from Capitol One. I have given the the case # and such in a phone call because they dont answer when you return calls. They are calling everyone in my family. Old neighbors where I have not lived for over ten years and they wont quit. I have contacted an attorney and am filing a suit agaisnt them for harrassment and damages and being in violation of the federal bankrupcty laws. Whether or not they know it is agains the law to try and collect on a debt once a person has filed bankrucpty. They think they are imtimidating. I think they are a joke. I have 17years in law enforcement and trust me they are the ones who should be arrested.

They are investigators! The only problem is they are only licensed in TX. They have NO authority in any other state. They are illegally doing work in other states. #1 Ask for their license number. #2 A repo order is useless. Just tell them they can't have the vehicle. #3 Call your local authorities for phone harassment. #4 keep you car hidden until you make the payments. They can not make you open your garage, as again, they have NO authority but if they see it on the street, it's theirs. As far as the calls, send them a cease letter. They are simply a repo company that is completely non licensed. Call the police if they come out to your house, in the state of IL per say, a repossessor can not take your car if you, the registered owner says they can't, it's considered breach of peace and the repo man can be put in jail. I am a licensed private detective in IL.

Actually, no, it's not illegal to contact 3rd parties about a debt you owe UNLESS the agency doing the contact is a debt collection agency.

I received a call from this company on my work, cell number, they have called my uncle, some, niece, mother, husband both on his cell and work number, my grandmother, and my neices husband as well as three of my neighbors trying to reach me about what they call and important matter and they are trying to help me before the matter goes to the state and it will be out of their hands. They are scammers. They call and leave a message stating this is investigator (whomever) and this is in regard to an important matter. I called the number back it it goes to the same voicemail message and box each time. They dont call back then they harrass your family, neighbors and they even went as far as somehow tapping into my cell phone records which is how they got all of my friends and families phone number. The so called investigator even call ed my niece and told her that found her number in my cell phone records and so he knew that she knew me and who I was to her. I have a car through Capitol One and have gone through a separation with my husband and have had to file a chapter 13. So they shoudlnot be calling me at all. I have called my local police dept as I have friends that work there and they have called them and told them to stop calling and also advised they were calling the local police dept to let them know that they were impersonating a police officer and they still wont quit. My attorny has called them and sent them letters. I am in the process of consulting with a debt attorney who is filing a complaint with the federal courts for them violating the automatic stay for bankruptcy filings.

I too have received a call but asked where to send the information they had wanted not that they actually want to see a title and contract but also a letter saying thank you for paying off your financing....... want the address I procured through a desire for them to try to screw me????

Personally, I was contacted by Windsor Equity - AFTER they called my mother and told her I was being charged with felony theft.  I wouldn't steal so much as a slice of bread while starving to death.  Regardless, I'm a grown man, and my mother has no concern with or control over my finances.  Additionally, I am not hard to find.  Your group obviously has my number, as they called it AFTER they called my mother and told her lies.  You could send a letter or call my number, but instead you call my mother, lie to her by representing yourselves as a law enforcement agency, lie to her by telling her I'm a thief, and threaten a 60-year-old woman if she doesn't get her son to call you.  That's disgusting.  You are disgusting.

Got a call and it went to voice mail.  Caller identified herself as a Ms. Johnson and was asking for a Marian Young.  Did not return the call to the extension 1140.  No idea who they are looking for as nobody here by that name.   Just my input.  If they are as good as they think they are they can send a certified letter to an addres they should have.  Have a local process server serve a CIVIL paper to the person at that address.   NO they can't arrest someone without having a legitimate court with jurisdiction signing off on it.

I couldn't get anybody to actually take a payment at my bank.  Then, they filed suit.  I gave the check to the court, and have court documents PROVING that the law firm signed for the check - over a month ago.  Still haven't cashed it, and this is the first time this company has called.  I call that fraud.

That made me smile after a bad call :) thanks
