same here...this is abuse....I am disgusted with paying for a service that does nothing to protect its customers

Receiving calls from green energy study group 3-5 times a day.  There is never anyone on the phone and the call usually stops half way through.  What survey are they taking.  These need to stop NOW

I too have been getting these robo calls for the past 6 months.
Every day and sometimes twice a day.

Like most of you I am frustrated that these calls keep coming and
there seems to be little or no help in stopping them.

I am on the "Do Not Call List", but even though it does help in
keeping the volume of telemarketer calls down it will not
help with this call.

Call blocking can be limited in this situation as the callers
number changes all the time or is spoofed.  Also, if you don't
subscribe to "Caller ID" you cannot block the calls at all.
You should not have to subscribe to "Caller ID" to try and
eliminate these calls as it costs you money to try and stop
unwanted calls even though you are on the "Do Not Call"
registry.

If you press "1" or "5" as directed in the recorded message,
you are simply alerting the caller that there is a live person
at the number called and they will persist in calling.
Do not respond at all.

Going on this site and posting messages like.
"These incessant calls -- several per day -- are ridiculous.  
STOP CALLING -
it is offensive and only serves to make me angry."

or

"We get this call virtually every day. "Attention power
company customers". We are on the do not call list. Please
help put a stop to these annoying calls."

or

"I am sick and tired of wasting my time getting calls from
this number.
I am sick and tired of wasting my time getting calls
from this number.
I am sick and tired of wasting my time getting calls
from this number.
I am FURIOUS over getting repeated calls from this number."

will accomplish absolutely nothing.

You, me, and everyone else who is getting these calls must
report these calls to the FCC and the Attorney General of
your state.  It takes a few minutes of your time to file
a report, but if enough people file reports with the FCC
there may be some action taken against these robo calls.
My suggestion would be to fill out the complaint forms
on line to the FCC and AG and file a report each and every time
you get one of these calls.  The FCC has the ability and power
to stop them but only if they get enough complaints from
people like you and me.  When they get tired and overwhelmed
with the volume of complaints on these calls, they may
act and shut this robo call site down.

I have culled a lot of information about the robo calls from

and included what I have learned so far at
the bottom.  I am going to send this info to the FCC and
the AG every day that I get one of these calls.  This can all
be automated with your computer.  You should also use the
below information and send it daily to the FCC and AG.  Change the
subject line each day so that they don't mark your submission
as spam.

If you take no action and just whine on this site then you
are condoning these robo calls and will continue to get them.
You must take positive action - report to the FCC, the AG, and
any of the companies listed below that have been associated
with these calls.  Send emails to all companies listed each
and every day you get the robo call.  If they get tired of getting
your email, they may also take action against the robo caller.
Negative posts to the companies involved will in the long run
affect their business and they should want to stop negative
reports about their company if they are reputable.

Another option is to use Google to find abandoned properties
and use the "1" key to speak to a person and schedule an
appointment to the abandoned property.  Do not use your real name
and if you do this multiple times, use different names and
different addresses.  You personally don't go to the designated
address.  It is just a way of wasting their time.

You may think these options are extreme, but unfortunately,
the victim (you and I) get no help from the phone company or
anyone else.  It's just like being a victim of identity
theft.  No one helps you clear your name and your record.  You
must invest your own time and money to do that.  Victims
seldom or if ever have any rights.

THINGS YOU CAN TRY

If you have an answering machine, you may want to try this.
Download the telephone system SIT tone for Vacant Listing from
here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special_information_tones.
Change your answering machine message as follows:
leave a 2 second pause at the beginning, record the downloaded
tone next as part of your message, then a 2 second pause, and
any message you like. I sugest something like "I am on the Federal
Do Not Call list.  If you call this number again, I will report  
you to the FCC".  Save this as you greeting on your answering
machine.  Set your answering machine to it's lowest Answer on Ring
number.   Go to http://www.fcc.gov/complaints and fill out the form.  
It takes about 3 minutes.  Complete the form every time you get a
call from Arizona Green Energy.

If you have Caller ID, you can block the phone #, but they change
their number often which means you have to keep adding blocking numbers.  
The SIT tone is a one time change to your answering machines
outgoing message.  Using the SIT tone also works for most if
not all Robo calls.  The tone informs the Robo that the number
just called is an unused number.  It may not work 100% of thetime,
but your number of robo calls should diminish over time.  Eventually
the telemarketers will find a way around this, but you can then
change the SIT code and pauses to confuse them.

There is also a device you can buy that will help defeat telemarketers.

cheap, but it should allow you to dump telemarketer calls to a
pre-reorded message and disconnect.

Have had several calls this week. Not able to get through when pressing 1 or 5. Very irritating and i do not know how to block the calls.

For months now I have come home to robo call messages from this entity in spurts that can last for days, including days when there is more than one call. To date, I have noted 21 different numbers from them in my received calls directory, all area code 480. Why they insist on leaving (what results in a partial) message is a mystery to me. One is unable to reach the caller at any of these numbers. As has been pointed out, blocking specific numbers is essentially useless because so many different combinations are used.

I've been on the Do Not Call list for years and re-register on a regular basis.

After all the time I've spent deleting messages, I'd like to meet someone from this company in a dark alley sometime. This type of activity should be illegal and there should be a hefty fine against these freaks.

Call these people at 702-551-2151.  If we all call them multiple times a day, like they do to us, we can tie up their lines forever.

I'm sick to death of this crap.  Can't the AZ Attorney General's Office do something about this harrassment?

Green Energy Study group!!!!!!!!  They call every day and sometimes more than once!!! When I push 1 to talk to someone and tell them I don't want to be called anymore, they just hang up. Obviously since this came up very easily when I googled them, I am not the only one.  We are on the no call list!
