- SusanGoDaddy has almost ALWAYS emailed me, rather than call me. When they do call, they leave a detailed, message, in PLAIN, SIMPLE ENGLISH (not some foreign accent). Whoever is calling from this number NEVER leaves a message, which, to me, screams "SCAMMER." Ignore it or block it.
- AlexiaCalling me and muting there side then they come on and say hello

I am glad that I looked here because I have an account with GoDaddy.- Call type: Telemarketer
- SleepingMessage left about thanking me and if I have any questions regarding my account or service to call the CS number. I have about 6 domains registered through them and usually receive a call 1-2 times a year like this.
- Caller: Go Daddy
- MikeSIf you're still in doubt, as I was, I brought up my GoDaddy account, did a live chat with an operator, asked if it was a legit number, and his response was:
"Yes, that is a phone number associated with us. Let me check your account to see why they were trying to reach out.... Yes, it was just a follow up call from our outbound team. There aren't any issues with the account at this time. These were just courtesy calls to see if you needed any assistance with anything related to your account."
This matches up with the message I received from that call.- Caller: GoDaddy
- DutchieRee replies to Percane| 1 replyHappened to me and the photo was also me! It was one of the pictures I have used on my Facebook profile so I'm going to say that's where the scammers are getting their info from.
- DutchieRee replies to MikeAlso, it was my cell phone number CALLING MY CELL PHONE! I was calling myself! LOL
- PeterI do Business with, Go Daddy so I asked there CS Reps about the Calls, the only way they can call you, is if you call them first!
- Caller: Go Daddy
- caroline0223 replies to SteveThis is from GODADDY. I have so much with them already that I find it infuriating that they waste my time by calling and not leaving a message - and they do it often. I wish they would put that much effort into my customer services requests!!
- Phone answererIt is Go Daddy calling to try to upsell the person listed on services.
- Caller: GoDaddy.com
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Peter D replies to Brenda SDepending on your cell phone carrier, they may charge to block calls. We have google voice number that allows us to block callers at no cost. If you use your cell phone for business and publish the number as a business, then they do not have to place you on any do not call list.
- Exactly replies to Jimbo in MarylandOr, your mother is gravely ill in the hospital and you get a call at nine at night from a vendor to whom you DID NOT GIVE YOUR HOME NUMBER. Apparently they grabbed it off caller ID.
That's plenty of reason not to give them business ever again. GoDaddy, I hope your minions are reading these comments. - Fed upCalled my home several times, leaves no message. If this is really GoDaddy, first, they have NOT been given this number on the account...they must have snagged it off caller ID. Not cool.
Second, the professional thing to do is leave a message, so I can only assume they're trying to get someone live to upsell. Not cool.
And finally, do NOT call after business hours!!! My mother is seriously ill in the hospital. When someone calls my home late in the evening, I think the worst.
Really, REALLY not cool. Shame on them.- Caller: GoDaddy
- Call type: Telemarketer
- LeonThis call came into my cell phone. We do not release our cell phone number and we use the phone for emergencies only. This is very annoying when the phone rings while driving, it is a temptation to answer it. I am sure this is not allowed and should be taken care of by enforcement.

- Kim replies to K| 4 repliesI'm with you. I register domains with Goddady and they call nonstop. I want to be left alone. If I have a problem, I'll call. I'm not freaking out! I expect my friggin privacy!
- Kim replies to Brenda SFunny! I blocked their first attempts, 2 calls on Tuesday and now, it's Friday and they are using a different number. Can't wait for next week. LEAVE ME ALONE GODADDY!
- JimK replies to CystalRavenCystalRaven,
While I am terribly sorry to hear someone got your identity, you need to understand that IN THIS CASE, you didn't TRULY get a call from your own number. What you received was a call from someone SPOOFING the Caller ID and PRESENTING your number as the caller ID.. There really is a difference and spoofing caller ID is actually very simple and is done by bad guys all the time.
As to GoDaddy, they have roughly 50 numbers they use for DID (Direct Inbound/Inward Dialing), and they will use that group of numbers for outbound calls, as well.. When you dial in on the 8857 number, it can get routed through to any of the 50+ lines they have in order to be delivered to a person there who takes your call...
Hope this clears up some of the confusion others are experiencing...
Wishing you ALL a Spectacular week !!
Jim - Scams replies to mouserNo it is not Go Daddy. Are you part of the scam team?
