They call twice and hang up

Same as everyone else.  I was waiting for a call from a # I would not recognize so I answered the call, they had already hung up.  I called back and it was a recording asking me to press 1 for a message and so on. I hung up.

Rang, didn't answer "strange" number. Said it came from Allentown, PA.

I work for Verizon Wireless and after I got to work we pulled it up thru the system and it is a company called "Timeline Communications" with a history of calling you and hanging up before the cell phone owner has time to answer. Their system is designed so, that when you call them back (via your cell) you are charged. Legally you are responsible because they (Timeline Comm) AND your Wireless Carrier have actual proof of where YOU called THEM!!  So....
BEWARE!!!!  Some of the calls are averaging $8 to $29 PER MINUTE!!  

If this has happened to you... suggestion... save the number in your contacts as "Timeline Communications" or FREUD.  This way you know not to answer or return the call.

I received a call on Sep 16 at 10:31am PST, but before I picked up the call, I got a missed call message from my cell.  I called back this number from a land line and immediately got some weird recording asking that I wait.  It seemed suspicious so I hung up immediately.

I signed up for an internet phone service today.  Shortly after my transaction was completed, I received a call from this number on my cell phone.  I missed the call or they hung up as soon as I answered.  No message.  I did not call back as I did not recognize the number.  Did quick interet research and found these posts.
