They called spoke spanish I said wrong # and hung up.  Not sure if anything will happen to my phone account.

Ok they did call back, shocker! My husband is fluent in spanish, his 2nd language is english, any way- he answered and  a woman told him she was from our phone co and wanted to give us a free calling card. My husband told her she was a liar, and has heard about this number trying to scam people into giving them personal info. She then hung up. FYI we are in a bundle program trough our cable co, so we don't have an actual "phone co", you'd think they would know that if they were legit. Also, my husband says their spanish sounded more like they were dominican.

The idiots called back 3 days later!

I have been getting a few calls from this number but I never answer The name on the caller Id says it is a PCS phone, doesn't that mean SPRINT?

Got a call from 500-500-5000 and got hung up on when I said "hello".  The CID said "toll free number".  I understand from reading other comments on this site that they are speaking spanish and offering a credit card account.  They hung up when I spoke english.  I bet they called me because, even though my last name is Italian, it appears to be Spanish.

My cell phone number was 500-5005.  I had to change it because of this scam.  This company is calling people in my county and when people try to return the call to 500-500-5000, it would bounce to my cell phone.  It has become so bad that I had to change my cell number last night.  It was such a easy number to remember too.

i keep getting calls from this number also. a man's voice saying buenos, diaz. I hang up but they keep calling. Can't someone catch this quy? shut them down.

Haven't gotten a call back since I was prepared for them to call. If you don't want them calling you anymore, try my tactic. Simply answer the phone like this Hola, buenos diaz. they say something but you respond in a loud voice Usted Idiota!!!! They'll hang up and should be done with you. We'll atleast they seem to be with me. ha ha. Good luck.

Have had this number call me and I put it on my do not call list. This time the person just sat on the phone did not say one thing, I am trying to listen the background noise. It is almost like a big room with something possibly echoing in the background, maybe a TV. Usually they dont leave any message. I dont recommend giving out your address to anyone! The only ting I can say is that the people that had the number I had before were Latino and they have debt. I had months of dealing with these companies. It is possible this is the same? Thats is why they try to get your address? I am in the Bay Area CA.

this number has called about 15 times in the last 2 days.  When i pick up the phone, no one is there.

I got this call today. I have seen it several times on my ID. I answered it and got the usual "bueno". Although until reading this I did not realize that is what they were saying. When I kept saying hello, they started breathing very hard into the phone and then they hung up on me. Hmmm. Need to get to the bottom of this.

do they ever send you a bill of the card

We have been getting these calls for a month.  There is never anyone on the other end when I answer, just silence.  I have received probably 20-30 of these and have had no luck tracing the source.

I keep getting these calls from that number. Sometimes they just hang up, other times static. I've gotten these calls in the late night, to early morning hours. Today I got at a decent hour, and I answered it. There was static, and some idiot on the other end. I told them never to call this number again, then in a thick (not sure if fake) accent they said "f@ck you, f@ck you" over and over...WHO ARE THESE FREAKS?

Saw the 500-500-5000 on caller id and refused to answer.

I HAVE RECEIVED SEVERAL CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER.IT COMES UP WITH THE NUMBER AND CALLER NOT KNOWN.THEY ALWAYS SPEAK IN SPANISH AND THEN HANG UP. I HAVE TRIED TO CALL BACK THE NUMBER BUT IT TELLS ME MY CALL WON'T GO THRU. I HAVE TRIED THE REVERSE LOOK UP BUT NO LUCK.IT IS VERY ANNOYING AND IRRITATING.

I have received several calls from this number in the past week.  I have not answered the calls and no message is left on my voice mail.  But EACH TIME I receive a call I report it to the FTC using their online complaint format.  I provide the date and time of the call.

If more people would complain the FTC just might get the idea these calls annoy people, and they might do something about it.  It doesn't take a minute to report the calls.

I have 500-500-5000 on my id caller. I'm curious what in the heck is this? I of course will not call it back. so much trash going around. how do we block this?

They are calling continuously - 6 times in the last 3 days

3 calls from 500-500-5000. Once someone said something garbled. Second, picked up on answering machine, nothing recorded; third, no one there. calls received at evening, afternoon, then morning. I wondered if they were able to connect through and make calls using my phone. Would like to stop the harassment.
