Hey if u are as frustrated as I am with them calling again and again,especially if u are hispanic or have a hispanic sounding last name,And if u are also frustrated our useless government agencies not doing anything about it, making u fill out stupid forms that just collect dust. Just go ahead and take matters into your own hands, dont get mad ,get even.

Just tell them this when they call again. For a male telemarketer:

1. " Tu madre es puta" pronounced "2 mah-dre es pootta"; translated- " your mother is a [***]" ( much worse in spanish than it sounds in english)
2. "chinga tu madre" pronounced- "sheenga 2 mah-dre" translated is "go f**k your mother".

For the females telemarketers :
1. "tu eres una puta" pronounced "2 eress oona poota" tranlated means you're a [***].

Hey if these [***] dont mind playing games with us and getting paid for it, then lets make their job a misery,especially if they listen to enough of these,maybe they'll change their tactics or have a huge turnaround of employees. Have a great day!!!!

I got phone call from 500-500-5000 they spoke to me in spanish and said that I won a calling card because i was a good customer, they identify themselves as the telephone company, I didn't provide any info I just hang up. I am really afraid what it was the purpouse of this call, somebody has a clue?

somebody call me and offered a  free 500 minutes calling card to call inside USA. I think that the lady has peruvian accent; I'm scare because that people has my personal information.  I'll like to know how can I stop that calls,  and How can I know what that people want to do with my information

Tell them immediately that you are going to call the police on them.  Hopefully that will stop them.

Receive at least 1 a day for the last 3 weeks.  
When I say hello they say nothing or hang up.  
I have said Hablo español  and they start talking.  But since I don't speak a language other than English they stop and hang up.

I have also recieved these calls. One lady was offering me a free prepaid calling card, but something just didn't sound right to me.  Just a gut feeling, so I told her I was not interested and not to call me every again. Just put a note that I do not want you to call me anymore, I told her.  But the next day I checked my phone, once again another call from 500-500-5000.  So what we all need to do is go to www.donotcall.gov, register your home and cell phone.  Then File A Complaint and maybe one of these days the Law Enforcement Authorities will be able to file a Criminal Charge against this group of people, who keep on bothering us all.

Every DAY for two weeks and TWICE a day I get phone calls from these IDIOTS!!!
I've tried not answering, to answering, to pick up and immediately hang up.
Same thing...they speak what "appears" to be spanish.
I just received ANOTHER this a.m. They've NOW started using the 000-000-0000 # instead of the 500-500-5000 #. Doesn't come up SacSerivce XX anymore either.
I Just called my telephone co. and they gave me steps to take to trace the call and I have to file a police report.

It IS a clear case of HARRASSMENT.
What else could it be?

Back on February the 6th, 2008, I wrote a report concerning the 500-500-5000 number under the name ED.  If you read my posts you will see that they called offering me a free calling card.  They spoke Spanish and hung up very quickly.
Just today, I realized that there were charges on my phone bill from some company called USBI/Quasar Communications.  
I called Verizion to inquire about these charges and they notified me that I "authorized" them to become my long distance carriers back in February of 2008. What a coincidence!  That's when I was getting these 500 calls.  The person at Verizon told me that they get complaints from costumers regarding these crooks all the time.  They very possibly splice recordings they get of your voice taking out things like "yes" and placing them in recordings of them asking if you want to accept their services.  I had never heard of this, but apparently its known as SLAMMING.
So for 4 months I have been paying these crooks for something I never authorized and they charge a LOT more than Verizion.  My bill has gone up significantly.  When I called USBI, they passed me on to Quasar, saying I had to talk to them.  When I called Quasar, they will not answer their phone.  I encourage EVERYONE to take a good look at your telephone bill for charges by USBI/QUASAR COMM!  Report them here: consumer-affairs@cpuc.ca.gov, and get your phone company to delete them from your account!

I know who they are.  Unfortunately I found out only after they ripped me off.  The called me, talked to me in Spanish and asked me if I wanted a free calling card.  I accepted it to find out who they were, and I never got the card.  3 months later, I noticed a charge on my Verizon bill from a company I didn't know.  Verizon informed me that they were my long distance carrier.  When I investigated, I got a phone number for the that company and I called to ask them how they became my long distance carrier and they said I authorized it.  They played back a recording that they made when asking me if my address was correct so they could send me the card.  I recognized the call, except that instead of the woman asking me if I wanted a free calling card, in the recording she asked me if I authorized them to become my long distance carriers!  They doctored to tape so that it sounded like I WANTED their services.  I have contacted the FCC and the PUC and I doubt anything will be done.  They screwed me for 3 months and will probably continue to screw me since we're nothing but little people in this big world of crooks.  I will be more than willing to join anyone that wants to go after these [***].  They are:

keep getting these calls.no one says anything

I got the same call and when i answered my phone became unresponsive. i had to turn it off and back on.

I receive the same calls they bill me and sign me in a long distant plan that I do not need they record the call when ever your answer is positive they record it and they play it back making it look that you order the service.....I am really mad.....

They enroll me in a company call quasar comm in a long distance plan.....without my autorization.....one of my frieds aswered the phone they asked if he wants a free prepaid card for $20 he say sure.... them asked they if he was autorized to recived and he say sure.....I had to call and cancel that and heard how they play back a record that has to different sound one for the operator and another from his voice it was not a continues conversation......

Hola javier, mira ami tambien me estafaron con una  targeta gratuita de 500 minutos y me pusieron larga distancia esos pinches cabrones, pero lo bueno que descubri q trabajan para quasar comunications q es una empresa estafadora  pero lo bueno que e rastreado la llamada y ya se donde  se ubica esa gente q llama para para hacerse pasar por tu compañia y te regala targeta gratis, mas detalles me escribes ami correo

Hola lucia , un consejo no haceptes ni comfirmes  con un si ni con un correcto por que esos estafadores te estan grabando y haci previenes q te cambien de compañia de larga distancia mas informacion me escribes bye saludos .

They have a commplaint in court. Quasar communication is te name of this scam company. I am tired of these peopke. Look for it in inernet, papers court.
