- JeniThis phone number called my mothers house acting like she knew me and my mom, not thinking said "Oh, she is in clinical" and the lady left her name Alex and extension number. The lady also called and left me a voicemail, no company information. After school I tried calling it back and a lady answered and when I asked what company this was the person who answered would not tell me and was trying to get info out of me about an extension left on the voicemail which I never gave her so she said it was probably a wrong number and hung up on me.
- MichellaI had the same thing happen to me a couple of days ago. I missed the call and a lady left a message saying ask for "Alex." So, I called back and a voicemail picked up (not identifying anyone or a company by name). It just said, "Leave a message, and I will return your call."
- JenniferA lady called me on my cell from this number. When I called it back she was asking for my mother, I explained to her that my mother was very ill and I took care of her stuff for her. When I asked what company she was with she would not tell me, she would just say please have your mother call me back at this number. When I think asked if she could tell me what her name was she then hung up on me. She some how knew my mom had my number listed as her home number, which is true becuase my mom is ill and cannot take phone calls. Anyways found this to be very fishy and it concerns me that she wouldn't even tell me what company she was with. I do not have voiemail set up so I do not know what kind of mess they would have left.
- KarinThis is a collection agency. One of its clients is the Little Rock Club.

- a calli rcd a call from this number with the very same information left on my vmail as other users listed. Plus she said the call was for MR and MRS ______ (my maiden name.) I have no idea who this is or why they called.

- FaithI received a call this a.m. with same premises as the prior post. (asking for my mother). "Alex" would not tell me her reason for calling or the name of the company. I waited about 15 minutes and returned the call "Alex" answered and I asked her what company had I contacted and she reluctantly told me CSI of Little Rock. I googled this name and they are a collection agency.

- JamieVery rude lady named Alex. She had left a voicemail to return call. When I called she was rude and would not tell me who she was calling for or where from. She said guess I misdialed and hung up.
- BradAlex called me and I missed the call so she left a message saying that she needed to speak to me about an outstanding balance somewhere. She used my full name and asked to call back and ask for Alex when I returned the call. So I called on my lunch break and she answered the phone, only saying "This is Alex" and I gave her my name and told her that I had received a voicemail from this number from a person named Alex and it was like she had no recolection of getting a hold of me. She asked for my phone number and stuff so she could "look me up" but I hung up. I dont care if it actually is a collection agency, I'm not returning phone calls to them because "Alex" sounds very unprofessional and like she could be actually a scam instead of the real thing, especially since I looked up CSI and they have completely different phone numbers.
- ChristyRecieved a voice mail from a lady named, "Alex" did not say what reason for call was yet when I get in to call her back. Left no return phone number to call. So proceeded to call from my work phone number and she answered with not even a Hello. So proceeded to ask what company she was with because thought was dialing wrong number. She hung up on me. Seems very odd not to identify yourself or what company your with.
- Denise replies to jebYep! Radiology Associates! They sent my balance on a bill of $11 to collections!!! AND it's on my credit report, AFTER I'd paid the $11 dollars. Delete it or block it from your phone. I hate these sneaky tactics!
- CollectionsReceived a call from "Alex" of a bill that had been sent to collections. The reason the number for CSI Services is different is because the number she calls you from is her direct line. This is not a scam. You have a bill in collections.
- Caller: CSI Services.

- Sam Fisher replies to TomYou mean the "out of business" outfit the BBB lists? Looks like they are trying to be sneaky to me. Per BigA
You will need to send them a certified, return receipt debt validation (by law they have to go back to the original creditor to prove you owe the debt), cease and desist calling, or "not me" letter (this will be the best money that you have ever invested). Also send it first class mail in case no one will sign for it. Make a notation of that fact at the bottom of the letter. You also need to report them to the proper agencies to which I have provided links to. Then you need to go out and get a consumer lawyer to sue them on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket) and let them pay you for the harassment. If everyone did these three things, these crooks would be bankrupt and we would all be the richer for it. Use these web sites to find an attorney in your state that will probably take the case on a contingency basis (no money out of your pocket up front): http://www.consumeradvocates.org/

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and that they have the legal right to collect it. You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes. The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
