Me too. I've tried both option 1 and 2 over last few weeks. Even with option 2, I don't get what the scam would be since no-one answers and none of the posts on this board report someone trying to sell an extended warranty. Unless this is some bizarre way for cellular carries to eat minutes... I know, really stretching conspiracy theory here :)

I set all calls from this number to be a silent ring tone. Problem solved.

Ive been gettin these calls for the last few weeks and just today got one, a much friendlier version from 801-281-4985.

Someones gonna die if this keeps up. Swear to God.

Called me and I did not pick up...don't know who it is, didn't leave a message. Have a verizon phone.

Same thing happened to me just fifteen minutes today.  This is just a scam in order to have you give them detailed information about your car.  They don't even know what car you drive!!  Additionally, telephone calls are harder to trace than the mail, so there is no way to prosecute them for mail fraud or even report it to the proper authorities.

I've been getting these calls on my cell ever since I renewed my service and got a new phone.
They don't leave a message - but it's using up daytime minutes on my plan.  I've added this
number to my reject list to keep them from using up my time.  I suspect they're somehow
making money by running up minutes.

Here is a novel idea, anyone on this site living in or near the Louisville, KY area listen up this is for you!!! Below are the two most likely leads as to their location. Take some time out of your day to head their way to track them down. Go for all those who can't, you have the force of the West Coast behind you on this one plus all others on this thread who are extremely bothered by these A Holes! At least do a drive by: you know bag of dog poo on there door step and sets it on fire style! Anyways good luck and Be strong for all of us who can't make the trek. I got a call from 502-894-0098 as well as from 801-281-4985 with regard to my Car Warranty.  It said to press 9 if I no longer wanted to be contacted.  The recording hung up before I could press 9.  The calls come daily.

this number and 8081-281-4985 are tied together as well

got this prerecorded message on my cell phone.  Called back and it said number was disconnected, or all circuits are busy.

I got this call twice on my cell phone. My best friend also told me that he got this and told me to Google it referring to this site in passing -- here I am. I think this number is also associated with 801-281-4985 because I just got that call on my cell two minutes ago.

Keep receiving calls at home AND on my cell phone from people claiming my car warranty is almost up. WTF?? Other numbers from these fools include: 231-732-2600, 201-257-4036, 877-395-9994, and 800-519-7502. LEAVE US ALONE.

I got a third call from this number. The automatted message has stated all three times that this was my "final" curtosy call advising me that my warranty on my automobile will be terminated.  I get the same message from other numbers as well.

I've been getting this @#$%ing call on both my cell and home phones for weeks now. This time I pressed 1, and they HUNG UP on me when I asked to have my # removed. That's when I googled the # on my caller ID 502-894-0098  and found this thread. I'm filling out the FCC complaint form:

I received ANOTHER call from these people today (from yet again a diffent number)!  I stayed on the line long enough to "press 1" and I actually got to speak to a live person.  I very nicely (ha ha ha) told her to remove my (uh-hum) number.  We'll see if this works or if my calls triple!

first a recorder tape plays when i picked up.  At first i thought it was my insurance company so i waited.  I pressed 1 as they indicated but when somebody picked up, inmediately asked the model & make of vehicle.  I asked: "who is this" and the lady hung up on me... RUDE! This is the second time i get a call from this number, the first time i didn't answered.

Is there something I can do to stop getting calls from this number along with 1-801-281-4985, 1-562-228-7160, & 1-435-649-9320??? They call my cell phone every day except on Sundays and it is always about the warrenty on my vehicle.
