Just got a call from this number - I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I'm in Ohio, area code 330.

Same thing happened to me, too. I live in Ohio and a co-worker of mine got a call the other day (he didn't answer though). I wanna know if this is linked to the "Prisoner" phone calls that people were warned about a month or so ago, or if this is actually a legal organization. If it's legal, it's still annoying.
When i told him i wasn't interested, he hung up immediately. I didn't even get a chance to say for him to take my number off his list... i dunno. Something seems fishy about the whole thing, if you ask me.

Yes, I too got this number calling me.  I completely forgot that I did get involved in this.  They mail you 2 DVDs to view (sent me the Secret Garden and some flick I hadn't heard of before), and then they will try to call you back two week later to get your opinions about it.  They are trying to redesign the movie ratings system from what I understand of it.  I believe you keep the DVDs in exchange for your time and opinions about it.  I spaced even watching the DVDs they sent me.

I'm in Ohio and I got the same call. My phone was on vibrate so I don't know if it rang and I missed it or it just showed up. I have at&t, not Alltel, and have never had Alltel.

I got a call from this number this morning. I am also in montana so the NM number was strange. I am also getting calls from an unused bresnan number that when I call back they say they have no record of calling me. Plus I don't have service from them so that is weird too.

I have WA ATT #.  I got a call as well.  Maybe the telemarketers are feeling out numbers, establishing a call list, and waiting for your voicemail to take down your name. Wierd....Your guess is as good as mine WTF.  Everyone call this person back.  Waste our time we waste yours [***] [***]. I'm going to call him and waste his time from skype

Recording received from an "Unavailable" number, but dealt with this same string of events: "In order to comply with the Federal Trade Commission's recently enacted telemarking sales rule and recently enacted changes to regulations of the Federal Communication Commission's Telephone Consumer Protection Act, please be advised this call was made from phone number (801) 281-0863, was made for or in behalf of Kids First, and was made for telemarketing purposes."

Also, here is the BBB Company Report for them.  They are located in NM according to the number listed.

This is really weird...I missed the call and decided to google it.  Thanks for posting, I was going to call it back.  I read that other people who received the call had Altell; is it just going to Altell phone numbers?

Same as above.   I did recieve the two DVD's haven't watched either on of them.  I have now recieving several calls back from this person who hasn't left a message when I didn't answer.

Same call as others have gotten.  They called my cell phone (Altell) around 5:00 p.m. today.  I live near Cleveland, OH (440 area code).  I just hung up as soon as I realized it was a solicitor.  I don't have kids and don't want to watch kid-oriented DVD's.

Call came to my cell phone but I didn't answer because I didn't recognize it; part of a message was left- it sounded like the guy started talking while my message was still running. His tone of voice was really nasty and sarcastic, something about "chance to explain". It sounded threatening enough that I thought about reporting it to the cops.

got a call on my cell while I was at work.  He said he was calling people in my area.  I am in Alaska, I have a cell number from Idaho.  I asked him what area that would be and he didn't know because he picked numbers at random.  I told him I was at work so he said it would only take 60 seconds and started talking over the top of me while I tried to tell him I could talk and didn't particularly want to pay for a call from a stranger that I am sure just wanted money. I hung up.

I got this call today also...how odd

Called my Alltel cell phone this evening.  Phone rang, didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  No message left.  I just did a search and found this thread.

Recieved a missed call from this number tonight while my phone was charging. The call came in at 9:17 mountain and was "name unknown".
I'm with Alltell prepaid. Has anyone contacted the cell companies? Seems like they should want to shut down someone harrassing their customers.

i missed the initial call. called back some kids first program. the guy wanted to send me two dvd's free of charge. haha. i just think it's great how there is a forum on this!

He called me...private Cleveland OH cell number...when he said "Hi this is Jessie from Kid something or other blah blah blah..."  I said, Hi this is Mary and I am an attorney how did you get my private number?"  He hung up. Doing some research...will comment more if I find anything out.

They did sent me the DVD's, but then they keep on bothering me after I received the DVDs.  No catch though... The DVDs aren't that great to watch!
