My wife just received a call on her phone.  Didn't answer it of course.  BTW, our carrier is AT&T.

I am in Ohio and got this call on my AT&T cell phone. John explained about the dvds "Kids First" wanted to send me so they could get my opinon on them. Sounds like BS to me. I asked him how he got my number and said they were a non-profit org and are dialing all combinations of numbers. HMMM...
I told him to take my number off of his list and that ended the call.

Just b4 I rec. call from a live person I got an automated call and I believe it's aphone dialer and if someone answers then it flags your number as a good number and goes into their dialling que and then you get a call back from a live person. Funny thing is that the number that came up on my phone is from a residence in NJ and when I called it I got a recording that the number has been disconnected! BOGUS Then there is a link to a privacy group and I sent them an email asking their opinion about the organization and their tactics. Lets see if they respond. and finally I am filing a complaint with the BBB and would ask that everyone reading this would do the same and if enough people complain maybe they would loose the .org classification!?

The 505 area code code called my husband one day and me the next. When Iwas called I hung up on them.  Then I called them back and told them I knew they were a scam and they said "noooooo" and I said I was going to tell as many people as I knew that a area code 505 is a scam and to be weary about anwearing it or being their next sucker.  The more that know about it , the faster it will be put out of business, so do your part, and tell everyone you know!  Kids First is a scam.

I got this call and it was a day after replying to a craigslist ad with my cell number. The person who placed the ad never contacted me so i think its someone selling phone numbers or something of that sort.

I recently recieved two movies after answering a call from this number. I would just like to let you all know that my daughter loves them, and they have some great values. My daughter wants to watch them all the time now! It IS with a company called kids first and they are trying to provide a clean alternative for our children.

Nice enough guy - wanted to send me two movies to review for "kid-appropriateness" (like I'm some sort of authority on that subject).  I told him no.  He asked why not and I said that I didn't appreciate him calling my unlisted work-provided cell-phone number (Verizon service, BTW).

3:03p edt Tues Sept 9 got an incoming call from this number -- I do not answer unknown numbers as well - figure that's what VM is for. Glad I didn't now. How dare anybody call and use my minutes to try to solicit ANYTHING from me.  Is Verizon selling our information now?

I got a call from this number on my cell phone (Verizon), answered it and it was someone from Kids First, he wanted to send me two free movies to review.  I said NO, and he asked if I had 30 seconds to spare for him to explain, I said NO.  He said he would call back at a better time, I said "please don't" and he said "Oh, well we're just calling ALL the numbers from your area, so we'll just take you off our list."

Just got the missed call at 1:51 pm Pacific time.  My area code is 425 (Verizon) in Washington.  Good thing I Googled.  Kids First.  Yes, why doesn't not-for-profit organizations have to abide by the do not call list?  Yo, punks from New Mexico from Kids First:  call the oil companys for money...they have plenty.

    Got the call, checked here.

Don't believe their BS about being non-profit and it not counting.  Technically non-profits don't count for the do not call lists, however, telemarketing to a cell phone period is still very much illegal since technically the calls cost you money.  Just tell them that they need to send you money with the dvd's since you're on a pre-paid plan and are calling for this illegal call...  it will probably shut them up
