called my home almost 10pm and wouldn't say anything..so I hung up and looked up the number. These people don't deserve to have a phone.

Received a missed call from this number. When I tried to call it back it said the number wasn't in service anymore. Weird!

No surprise, it's a debt collection company.  They called me and did not leave a message, I checked the website associated with the name Buttonwood LLC and one of their services is debt collection, cleverly disguised in their offered services as "Dividend/Interest Collection and reporting" and "Debt and Liability Services."  I do have a debt and I am sure that is what they are calling about.  In true collection agency form, they refuse to leave a message so that I cannot know for sure who or what they are, but I know they are calling for collections.

No one on the other line just open space.

got a call on  my cell about 3:30 pm in Los Angeles, hears a couple spanish speaking males, they hung up, but it took them awhile. so i just hung up.

Caller Id identified name as V01281930570004.  No response after saying hello, so hung up.

I had my purse with ID robbed recently in Costa Rica (neighbouring Panama) and now received a call from this number... All that could be heard were ppl arguing in the background in Spanish... I know it has something to do with the perpetrators who took my stuff. The number is from Panama 011 507 265 4866... And to remove all debt relative worriers, I do not have nor have had debt! So, they are not debt collectors, they are scammers and this so called site of buttonwood llc doesn'T even exist! It's their front! Be careful, these are dumb criminals, but dangerous if you fall for their scam or in person (which is unlikely cause they are very far away!).

Buttonwood LLC is a scam.  He is linked to a guy doing a long stint in a Federal Pen for securities fraud. Paul Iwankowski is the owner and has been running these scams from Costa Rica (and now panama) for years.  His cohort Michael Stark is another felon who preys on unsophisticated investors outside of the US (where they fear to operate).  they will "sell" you any commodity or currency although the trade is never actually placed.  Usually the "option"  is so far out of the money and so close to expiration that it becomes almost imposible for the option to gain in value.  they are unregulated, unlisenced, and they will most definitely steal as much of your money as they can.  When you lose, they will ask you to increase your bet to make money back....it always ends the same.  If you really want to venture into the futures market, learn something at futuresource.com first and then use a regulated broker.

I got the same call from Minnesota or so my caller ID says just now.

Ask for me by name, sounded like a busy area, told me to just hang on a sec and then hung up.

This is obviously some kind of scam and they are just trying to verify names and numbers together, god knows what other info they have.

Obviously some online website must have leaked info to these jerks, I am very careful about where my info goes and these basturds have some for sure, who knows how much.

Someone mentioned debt, the ONLY thing I have outstanding is an ebay payment that never went through. Anyone else NOT pay EBAY???

Those crooks used a bait and switch tactic and I am delaying the payment trying to reason with them.... might as well give up I know
