It is probably because you always shop in store, and they wanted to make sure this online purchase wasn't fraudulent.

It is Macy's folks! And yes they will ask for your name, date of birth, last four of social security number & account number. How do I know that? Because I have actually called from a Macy's office to see what all these calls are all about. The lady said the calls should stop because my payment is not due yet. That was 3 weeks ago.  It is Sunday now & the calls never stopped! They use different numbers & I was told by their office to ignore it. You think they would fix it, but they don't! I wish I could call them at their houses repeatedly & tell them to ignore it!!!

Wth? This number and a variation of them call me all day long. No messages. If it was really Macy's,  they'd leave a message. I think people are called randomly and they will catch people with Macy's accounts and without. I have a card but I'm not past due.

It is Macy's. I have a zero balance with them, so there is no reason for them to call me. I went into Macy's & had them pull up my account information. I do not owe them anything. I went into their office & requested them to stop calling me 6 times a day. I put in a customer compaint with them about these harassing calls. They told me the calls will stop immediately.  Nope! They still call. Is there no stopping them? This is crazy!

I just received a ring phone call from 5137549822 but no left voicemail in my box. I choose not to answer it because one reason of no voice messege and it might be a scammer.

Make IT STOPPPPPPP. Late and Early. No way to start and end the Day!!!

For those of you who don't have a Macy's account or don't owe them anything here is what I did. I kept getting calls from Macy's and I don't have nor ever had a Macy's account and don't shop there so I filed a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. The calls got stopped and I got a letter from Macy's Executive Office saying my number was entered in error and that I shouldn't receive anymore calls. Calls every single day but when pickup nothing.

These people call me the first thing in the morning - call  and then hang up if I do not answer.  Then again in mid afternoon or evening - same thing if I do not answer, thwey hang up.

They said they are from Macy's that my bill was overdue but my bill is not due for two weeks

I keep on getting calls from this number even if I put a block on this number, it is still able to call my phone

called me all week now sund3 x  this nuber then n 844 number right after n then this number again 15 min later

I keep getting a call from this number at all hours of the day and they never leave a message.

Called and said they were from Macy's. They kept insisting for a payment over the phone. I told them I would go online to look at my account first because I always pay online. The dollar amounts they stated weren't consistent with my account.

Why didn't you just pay the $5.45?
