- Reena replies to ChristinaThese people (phone # 513-754-9822) have been annoying the hell out of me. Yes, they do identify themselves as Macy's. They wanted all my details, they are scammers. Beware! Don't divulge any of your private information.
- new| 1 replyThese guys must be new as all of our calls have been over the past week. I began receiving calls from this number on 2/25. They have called a few times per day since without voicemails. I called the 513 number back eventually, thinking it might be family or an old friend as I grew up in Ohio. An automated voice answered and said my call may be monitored for quality assurance purposes.at no point was a company name mentioned. After waiting a bit a man answered but did not give a name. He said something about credit services. I got weirded out and hung up. I have ignored their calls until today when a woman left a vm stating she had an "important business matter to discuss" and to call her back at a 1800 number. That sealed the deal for me that this was a scam and led me to this site. I plan to call her tomorrow and see what else I can figure out about the situation...maybe I'll even mess with them a bit a la Seinfeld...

- mew replies to newso I just called the 1800 number (18005451256) and had an automated system stating they were from macys ask me for my account number. I pressed 0 and another auto voice told me to call back during business hours...
- MexiI keep getting calles from this number, at least once every two days. The one time i answered it said "Your call is important to us. Please stay on the line..." blah blah blah. i've never answered after that and they hang up after two rings now. Currently i'm on the line with Macy's to tell them this is happening. Has anyone else reported it to Macy's?
- not knownI just called Macy's Customer Service and the women I spoke to is looking into the number. She didn't see this number as someone affliated with them and told me they would look into this. As of this moment I am up to date with my account...I did call that 513 number back and they did not disclose their company and asked for my numer...where if you call the actual Macy Customer Service number you go through the automated sevice asking for different information. So, I am guessing this number is not the real thing. Just becareful and do not give any info. to them.
- MoSame scenario as everyone else who has posted a comment on this phone #.
They called several time leaving no message and then finally left a message saying this is regarding a important business matter???
What is this??? Hopefully the right authorities will follow up on this important matter which so many people have complained about!!!- Caller: ????

- UGH| 1 replySome lady called, and on my caller ID 5137549822 showed up. But the lady, who asked for my mom (correct name and everything), called for an important business matter. Where are these people getting our names and phone numbers?
However, I looked this number up in the white pages and here's what I got: http://www.whitepages.com/search/ReversePhone?full_phone=5137549822+&localtime=survey

- card holder replies to llh| 1 replythis is a credit card scam, unfortionatly i fell for it. they call if you do not answer they leave a message to call them at an 800 number. they ask your name, and your card number about 7 times, they repeat it incorrectly, then have you say it again, then they have your number, then they ask for a landline phone number without area code, then when i realized what was happening they asked for my social security number, and after that i hung up, they continue to call everyother day, however today when they called i confronted the girl about it, she acte like she didnt know what was going on and after i continued to be rude to her she hung up, this is a scam, but part of the scam may be being charged insaine amounts on your phone bill when you return their call
- Eileen replies to llhThanks for your information. I went on GOOGLE to see where the number comes from, and it brought up this site , that's when I saw your comments. I also have a MACY'S account. :)

- PINKYThis caller will call and only request to speak to the person they are calling for, Only if the phone is picked up. If the phone is not picked up on, they will call numerous times (8-10 times estimated) all day from 8am through 8pm everyday. And if they hit a message machine and or voice, they do not leave a message.

- RichBeware of this call!!! I just had a call from this number and immediately new that this was a scam, because they were asking for a home address, employer name, address and phone number. Very shady. They will try to give you information such as how much you paid the last time, etc. They sounded to know what's going on, saying that the payment was misapplied, and they will waive a delinquent payment charge to try to get you to share information. Be very, very careful!!!

- Dave CThey've been calling me 2-3 times a week.
- jayneSomeone from this number called and asked for me by name. I told them it was a wrong number because I figured it was a sales or collection call - but then I got worried because I know all my bills are up to date. I have a macy's card as well, but it doesn't have a balance, so I know I'm not late on any payments. I'm going to attempt to report this to Macy's. They are probably selling phone numbers and this is one of the companies that bought them - it's really not very expensive to buy a list of phone numbers from companies.
- Jayne - againI've pasted a few links below. I checked with Macy's and found they have a fraud alert page and it does mention something about phone calls. You can check it out yourself and report it as well.

fraud@macys.com - LynJust received a call from this number on my home phone. I assumed it was a collection call so I answered to inform whoever it was that I "no longer lived here". When I answered, a message came on saying that they were calling regarding an important matter and to hold in order to speak to a representative. A young woman answered and asked for me. I said, "She no longer lives here. What is this regarding?" It sounded like she got a little nervous because she quickly said, "An important business matter. Thank you." and hung up.
I checked with the BBB (Better Business Bureau) but found no listing, so I Google'd it and found sites such as this one with tons of similar stories. I do have a Macy*s account, but my payment isn't due until later this month. After reading numerous experiences, I'm pretty sure this is a scam.- Caller: Unknown
- Extremely Annoyed replies to wujek walkarz| 28 repliesI receive calls daily from this and other numbers of similar nature. Some are for my adult children. I have blocked this number and this has not helped due to it is all spoof calls. These criminals are awful and are hard to catch up with since they can make their ID anything they want. We all or most have Macy’s cards zero balance. I am thinking all the messages seem to point to Macys, how do we all pay our bill?? Our families case online through the checkfree service provided by Macys, in which case they have our phone numbers provided by Macys or us when we set up to pay online. Is this the case with most of you? "If so” this may be an avenue I would like to pursue! And for those of you that do not have a Macys account do you use checkfree for any other payments? I am so exhausted with these calls now its time to figure out what the common denominator is for us all. Since the do not call list cannot help due to a spoofing circumstance and goggling only spins us in circles with no solution. If anyone can help, I am interested in finding the underlying cause of this nuisance.
