- in_ohio| 3 repliesEveryone on here claiming this is a scam, I can assure you, it's not. I live in Mason, OH, right around the corner from this Macy's Credit Division building. My phone number is a 513-754-xxxx number as well. I drive by this building everyday. It is a nice campus building with a larges sign out front identifying it as Macy's Credit Services. So any calls from this number are legit, so either you, or whoever had your phone number before you owes Macy's some money. ;-)
- REALLY in ohio replies to in_ohioTo "in_ohio" - You must be thinking about some other Macy's Credit Division because the area this number is associated with is all residential.
- SwayJust started getting calls from this number two days ago, googled it, came upon this site, I decided to check my account, since i just made a payment, my account is in good standing and I have no payment due until next month!

- PatSeveral times over the past few days I received a call from this number saying that all their operators were busy, but to hold for an important message. Each time, I hung up at that point. I then googled the number and found this site with everyone's experiences. Now I was ready for the next time that number called!
So, just a few minutes ago, the call came. For the first time, as soon as I answered, someone said "hello" and asked for my husband. (He does have a Macy's account, but it is paid up.) I said, "He's not home right now. What is this regarding?" The woman did not identify her company, but just said, "an important business matter." I replied, "Please remove our phone number from your call list. I have looked up the number you're calling from on the internet and know that this is NOT a legitimate call." She just replied, "OK, thank you" and hung up.
So, we'll see if any more calls come in.- Caller: Unknown
- It may be me replies to Extremely Annoyed| 13 repliesThe # 513 754 9822 is Macy's headquarter# in Mason, Ohio. It will show on your caller Id so that you will know it is not a call from a telemarketeer. If a message is left on your answering machine like "This message is for Mr/Mz*name* This is Mr/Mz*name* calling about an important business matter. Please call today at 1-800...Thank you" Who ever the message was left for should call the 800# asp, it is due to a situation regarding your Macy's account. It may be that a payment was not received, many times the payment was made but posted to the wrong account by accident. Sometimes there is return mail and not receiving a statement the person may not know or remember a balance is owed on. If you answer the call and the caller is asking for another member of your family about an important business matter just ask what company the caller is with, legally they can not tell you any details but can id the name of the company and please don't assume all of the accounts are current and fine just call or have that person who the message is for call and find out, better to know then to not know and find out later when things are more complicated. If it's a matter of just a missed payment it's going to be a courtesy call just to let you know.
- It may be me replies to cardholder| 4 repliesI'm replying to let you know if a message is not left it's because the caller is on a dialer system where the computer is making the call for them and unfortunately sometimes the computer doesn't bring up the account soon enough to detect if an answering machine has picked up the call so a message will not be left. If a message is left legally it can only be This is mr/mz*name* calling for mr/mz*name* about an important business matter. Please call today at 1-800...thank you. Using the name of the company in that phone message is not allowed; I know and agree, if it could be left it would make things more clear..ps only checks by phone are asked for, or go online or in store or by mail. Please do call back the # on the statement or c card and find out what it's about; wouldn't hurt-could help.
- CaR replies to wujek walkarzI have received 4 calls in the past week from this number. I did receive one message...and it said "Hello..(Quiet for a bit)...Hello.....There is an issue with your service...please hold while we transfer you to a Customer Service Representative." What's weird...this happend while I was listening to my messages. I hung up. The reason I stayed on line for a bit, was because I thought it was SPRINT telling me there was an issue with my service. They make you believe you can not listen to anymore of your messages until you talk to the representative. (I have not received my cell phone bill from Sprint yet...so..we'll see if there's charges).
- JollaCalls several times a week about a Macy's card with no balance. I spoke w/ Macy's about this and they seemed to be puzzled about the 800 number and originating number. This stinks like a scam.
- Caller: Purports to be Macy's
- MartyI also have a Macy's account, with a zero balance, so these are not legitimate "reminder calls" about a past due payment. Also, I have my cell phone number listed with Macy's, but the scammers are calling on my land line.
- RosaginI've been receiving calls on my cell phone from this number, however, they could never leave a message since my voice mail is full. That's why I googled the phone number and led me to your site. I don't have a Macy's account and I never give out my cell phone number on any applications. Anyway, I tried calling it one time about 3:00 am PST with my Caller ID blocked, and the one who answered it had an East Indian accent. I didn't want to continue the conversation so I just hung up. I have signed up with the National DO NOT CALL List, so that's why I'm amazed I'm receiving these unsolicited calls.
- BillyI just called Macy's customer service and alerted them to someone impersonating their billing department in order to perpetrate an identity theft. They were very concerned and will be inititing legal action. We'll see if the calls stop or if they just switch numbers or something. Somehow they have gotten a list of phone numbers of Macy's cardholders. Inside job, likely.
- madashellVoice messages left on cell phone 5 consecutive days by 3 different voices asking for a Melinda or Donald E. (they don't know how to pronouce last name. Asking to call 1-800-545-1256 about and important business matter. I am not the person they are looking for and have no important business matter to discuss with strangers using my cell minutes! I keep having to delete messages and reset voice message notices just for these idiots! My carrier will not block the incoming phone number!!!
- AnnieWe receive calls from 513-754-9822 at least 4 times per week. We live in Missouri. Thinkimg that it is a telemarketer I ususally just answer and hang up. This time I answered and they asked for my son who has a Macys acct, noonelse in the home has an acct with macys. I told them that he was not home and asked if I could take a message. He left me an 800 phone number and when I sked what this call was in regards to, the response from the caller was: " ask him to call Billy Stewart in regards to a personal matter". We are not returning the call.

- SinSo some lady name Ms. Truesdell called and asked for my sister and luckily she wasn't home. She gave me the 18005451256 so that my sister can call her back because it was "a very important business matter." She said she was calling from F D S Bank , which is a sister of Macy's Store. I wanted to get into more details since I wanted to make sure I have everything I needed to relay to my sister. I asked her what time can she call her back and she said until 9pm. Something did not sound right. When I asked her what about Saturday and Sunday and she replied "oh yeah, the same time." And then I had to ask her questions like what time zone and she was any time zone. lOl. It sounded like a scam already just listening to her and she sounded fake. So I searched online and found this site. I am going to tell MACYS about this since I have a macys card myself and wouldn't want anyone else to be scammed!
- Caller: FDS BANK
- PuzzledSame here. They are scammers. They are also associated with 866-593-3926.
Why is it that web sites like this have these people pegged as crooks for years and yet law enforcement doesn't do a thing? America needs to start getting tough on crooks like this. - MW| 1 replyI get 3 or 4 calls everyday from this number. I also have a zero balance. This is extremely annoying. I also started getting calls from blocked numbers, I assume are from the same people. This is bordering on harrassment.
- Caller: Macy's
- No Macy's Acct replies to MWThese people started calling me last week. I don't even have a Macy's account. I haven't answered my phone yet but if they ask for me I know what to say! I think it's a scam too!
- ConcernedCaller stated they had a very imporant message... same thing everyone else is reporting. I am calling Macy's to report this as well. I have put a block on this number. Thank you everyone for the heads up.
- Call type: Event reminder
- RemyThey are still calling.
