- KMHad an old HSA account with 5/3 through my employer... they just wanted to officially close the account.
- Caller: Fifth Third HSA Dept.

- TfromthedCortrust Bank Card Services. Legitimate company.
- Caller: Cortrust Bank
- JMThis was a legit call. They caught and blocked some fake charges and put the card on hold. I checked online and confirmed that the charges they mentioned were not made by me. They said they are employed by the issuer of my card and when asked were able to confirm the name for me. They cancelled the old card and requested a replacement on the spot.
- Caller: Vantiv
- dave pThis phone number is VANTIVE, they are a credit / debit card processing company located in the United States.
- Caller: VANTIVE
- LeslieThis company is Moneris, my husbands business uses them for credit card processing. They have recently been bought by another company and they were calling to inform me of this change, even though they sent a letter already. Still annoying.

- GoneFishingThis number seems to be legit. I received a call from this number this morning on my cell phone. I ignored it and immediately my office phone rang. They said they were from Card Fraud Detection and asked for me by name. They said they were calling about my credit card on behalf of my credit union. They gave me the last 4 digits of my credit card and asked me if an online purchase I made earlier today was legitimate. They gave the correct name of the retailer and the amount of the charge. I told them I did and they said okay, and that my card would be unblocked in about a half hour. They did not ask me for my social security number or any part of it. When I checked my cell phone, I had a voice message that did not leave my personal information, but did say they were from Card Fraud Detection and asking me to call back.
So I suppose someone could spoof this phone number and trick you into giving out information. But if they are providing information and asking reasonable questions to identify you, you may want to answer.- Call type: Valid
- JcBHave received various calls form this number and never any message. My curiosity of who they were led me to this board. Since I have a Merchant Services account with Vantiv, I became more curious and have now spent umpteen hours trying to find if they were, in any way, related to this call. So far, they have not verified any connection whatsoever. Regardless of comments above, I would caution divulging any information to these callers of a personal financial related nature.
- MaxWhat I don't get is that if this is a legit company, why wouldn't they leave me a message when they called? Any other time I've had fraud, etc. they left messages when they called. This makes no sense.
- DonnaThis number called my business claiming to be my credit card processor. Stated that they had tryed to charge my account for 14,000 but my account was closed. How did I want to pay this money. I called my bank for the credit card processing and they had no idea who they were. Beware!!!! Scam!!!
- Caller: World Pay Processing
- JaySome of you are confused. It is a legit number and call from Vantiv. Look them up, the process card transactions for tons of companies and banks. BUT it's not hard to spoof a number! Scammers look for legit numbers to spoof when calling to commit fraud, be SMART! You should never give out fully identifiable information
- Randi replies to Fifth Third CustomerIt came up on my phone as scam.

- MiffedI bought a couple shirts online, using my secondary bank debit/credit card. After receiving the inferior, wrong sized items I requested a refund. After never receiving it, I called my bank. THEY cancelled my card and transferred me to this number. I spoke with a heavily accented guy who had my info and asked for my last 4 SS#'s ( just as my bank had) I gave him the date of purchase and amount and HE told ME the name of the company, so I believe its legit. I still had some discomfort with it though. He advised they are a 3rd party company hired by financial institutions to investigate fraud, etc. https://www.fisglobal.com/

- RamrodClaims to be security for Cortrust bank. I called the bank who could not confirm or deny that it is a legit number. Totally unprofessional. Do not give them any personal information. Simply hang up and block the number then call the bank directly to verify.
- Caller: LOL security
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- KatieI received a call from this number about some fraudulent crap on a debit card that i don't even have. I checked all of my credit cards and the last 4 digits do not match any of my cards. I am going to report this as a scam call. Some people might think this is legit but for me it is just another scam caller trying to get more information from me.
