- Lisa| 1 replyThis # has called my home phone almost 40 times today. I have not answered. Then immediately I get a call from 203-150-0002. If you try calling back the last # you get a msg stating it is not a working # ???? Needless to say, this is driving us insane today!
Unfortunately, my 18yr old daughter posted her resume on Monster.com last night. I see that seems to be the common link here. - HeatherUpdate from my post yesterday.
After speaking with yet another girl yesterday and demanding my phone number be removed from their list, I started getting calls AGAIN today. This time I demanded to speak with a manager or Supervisor. The guy transfered me to a supervisor whom them took my complaint and sounded as though he was reading from a script. I told him that I demanded they remove my number from their list or I would file a police complaint. He then got upset and set you do what you want to do, and hung up.
This is just absolutely ludicrous! I am soo sick and tired of these idiots calling my phone 20-30 times a day. - surlysue replies to R.D. Baker| 3 repliesI did not receive calls from this number until I posted my resume on Monster and Career Builder. The very next day I received about 6 calls from this number (like most people, I do not answer unless I recognize the number). No messages were ever left.
- dmorris replies to LisaI stopped getting calls one day after reporting complaint to National D Not Call registry.
- D. K. Hill replies to surlysue| 1 replyI too received several calls on this number. Very anoying, however, since I have a trusty dusty Sun Rocket account, I can block these without any further incident. Just as a note, I just posted my Resume' on Monster.com too about 4 hours and i've received 12 calls so far. I caught the last message fast enough that some poor schmuck was on the other end trying to sell me some training stuff. I'm figuring I given my number away into telephone solicitors database that get sold to many different companies. The rack up the phone number from the varies companies where you've freely submitted it and sell it to other companies. (Information Mining Operation). Then it gets queued up in a auto-dialing system that keeps calling you until it gets through with the poor schmo.. These are information mills and sales farms. Thousands of number to reap a few suckers.. I guess it pays off...
I guess sold my number to devil!! LOL...
Have a great day guys. - Hanai just got 2 calls from this number. both times, nobody said anything. i kind of got freaked out so i googled the phone number. 515-634-6750. it's annoying. i've gotten calls like this before and haven't *69-ed them. probably the same people. seriously pisses me off.
- Hanai just called them back to figure out who it was. but the unicell guy told me the number i called had been disconnected. freaky deaky.
- HanaAGH! they just called me again and asked to talk to my mom. i told the indian-sounding woman that she was not her and she asked when to call back. i told her whenever. i wasn't sure if it was this number. so after she hung up, i *69-ed again. and it was the 515 number.
- bronteIf anyone is interested, I reported this as a stalking incedent to the FBI since it is effecting people across the country.
- J. FoxYou guys are right. I just graduated from college and I put my resume on Monster.com today. Since doing that at about 2:30 PM I have received 4 calls, 2 from the number in discussion, that were unknown and repeated calling. What you guys have written has helped because I was perplexed. And since this has just started happening today right after I made a Monster.com Account, I am pretty sure it is a safe bet that is where they got your phone numbers.
Thank you for the help everybody, it is greatly appreciated. - Gerry| 1 replyConstant calling from this number since registering on Monster.com
- Stephanie in S.F. replies to GerryWell, it calmed down for a week...but I am so glad that someone else mentioned the other number that seems to be connected with this.
203-150-0002
This started up again yesterday.
There needs to be a mass complaint filed with Monster. - verifiedThis guy gets ur info from monster.com, im sharpening the axe, screw the cops!
- TonyThis phone number is classified as international, soooo, if its an indian voice, ill bet my left nut that the call is originating in india! they do the same thing with telecommunications companies in Australia, having a call centre in india with an Australian phone number.
ill blame monster.com though for being so careless with my personal info, ill find another employment portal! - AlyssaPhone lag does verify that the call is international and when u try and call the number u get an automated responce saying the call is international.... cheeky indians!
i just feel sorry for all the cops u harrassed and time u have wasted over this..... when u could have picked up the phone, played dumb and pretended u where 12 and u dont know what the hell is going on, and someone must have gotten their phone number wrong (or something to that effect), worked for me! - adamI just post my resume on monster.com and today I started to receive calls nonstop. It is definitely related to that site, someone needs to inform the site about this, unless monstar.com is in this scheme too it would be useless.
- jasmineLOL.... agree with above post, PICK UP UR PHONE, u cry about ur phone ringing.... then answer it. after the 1st call u will get a second call from pheonix university, they are a friendly lot, just be polite. an easy way out is just to pick a coarse that they dont offer.... like electronic engineering.
u get more bee's with honey, then u do with vinegar! - seriousbusinessSame thing happened to me. I signed up for Monster and Careerbuilder last night (and naively allowed employers to see my full contact info sigh), and have been receiving these ridiculous calls since this morning. I have contacted Monster.com on live chat, and I have sent in feedback about it to Careerbuilder. I contacted my phone company t-mobile to let them know of the issue as well. I have also filed a complaint to the National Do Not Call Registry and plan to file a complaint to the BBB once I can get more information on how to contact/locate them. Unfortunately I can no longer retrieve their information due to my previously pretending to be a company on the four times I actually picked up the phone to convince them to cease calling my number.
If anybody would like to play the part of pretending to be interested in their program, and can get them to give you their location address (for their education services) and a means of contacting them that is not email, or any other information you can get from them, I wouldn't mind placing a complaint with that information for you with the BBB. Due to their repeated hammering of phone calls, they will most-likely be charged with Invasion of Privacy in federal court and forced to pay a significant amount in punitive damages, similar to the Irvine v. Akron Beacon Journal case, as punishment for their abuse. After retrieving their information, you can just do what the above guy said and request for a course they do not offer to get them to stop calling you, or say you got accepted to another university and was going to go there instead or something.
I'll check this post daily and let you guys know of any other information I receive. - billWe have Optimum On Line service and have been recieving hundreds of calls from this number. We called the police and filed a report. After the call ends hang up the phone. Pick the phone up again and at the dial tone dial *57. Follow the prompts. After doing this three times the number will be traced through the security center to its origion. They will not tell you the info, however they can supply the police who have your report number with the info and we can get an end to this.
- monalisa replies to HeatherI too just was on Monster.com last night and added my information for a job search so I think you are right with it having to do with Monster.com
