Scam company. Unfortunately there appear to be many companies using Indian people to perform their dirty work. There are many elderly phone scams now coming out of Indian run organizations too. Sad.

My landline started ringing at 6.19am from this number, again at 6.58am & again 7.33am. This is happening everyday, from morning to night. These people are relentless! I never answer but they still call, over & over again. Inbetween these calls I get another one with a very similar number. I'm at my wits end, wish I could just rip the phone out the wall & escape these morons.

Called home phone.  No message.

A man with heavy accent and was told they were from the IRS a that I made a mistake on 2013 tax return. I was told there was a case # and gave it me and if I didn't do do something with in 30 min they would be sending the  an IRS agent and the police to arrest me. I told them to go ahead I would be looking forward to seeing them and hung up

I am not one to entertain these telemaggoters. But I have said on this site, that I would love to tell these calls to go ahead and send the police.

These people call several times a day .  Never leave a message.

This number keep calling, and now they are saying, this is your oldest grandson Michael.  My grandson Michael died several years ago. These people know too much about me. They need to be stopped.

Unfortunately these operations are based in countries that will not allow our agencies to conduct any investigation.

I got a call from this number. The caller claimed that he was calling from "Shaw Direct". I heard a weird echo in the background, like someone was calling from a cell phone/land line phone but long distance. I told the caller that I'm not with Shaw Direct and hung up.

ANOTHER SCAM FROM THE USA IN THE STATE OF NY ON LONG ISLAND, AND WHEN WILL THEY LEARN TO CALL ONLY USA BASED NUMBERS TO MAKE THEIR SCAMS LEGIT ENOUGH FOR THE US GOVERNMENT TO OPEN THEIR EYES TO THIS PROBLEM IN YOUR COUNTRY???

WE ARE SMARTER IN CANADA TO AVOID ALL UNKNOWN NUMBERS AS PURE SCAMS OKAY!!!

My wife answered the phone.  The called claimed to be our grandson. He stated that he was in a car accident and had been hauled off to jail. My wife was familiar with the SCAM and started a 20 question routine.  Like where was the accident, why don't you sound like my son. etc. The caller knew he had called an Idaho number and answered the questions like he was near Twin Falls, ID which she knew wasn't possible. As he questions got more intense, the caller hung up before getting around to the typical request for bail money. :-)

Got a call from this number---said hello   ..no answer.   if someone calls please leave a message or don't bother to call

Scams calling me phone at least two times a day I just stopped answering and they never leave voicemail but when I did answer the phone it was silent .

Phone rang once, half a ring. Checked here to verify it was a scammer. Will block the number.

My mother got a similar call from a scam artist, pretending to be my son, supposedly arrested for DUI after a car accident. She was asked not to call me and said a lawyer would call back to ask for her help to post bail. She did call me and then, later, directed the lawyer to call me. He did and I asked him numerous questions. All information given was false. Does anyone know how they get so much personal information? They knew my son's name and knew his grandmother's name and number. Also, is it possible to ask the telephone company to disconnect 516 453-6886? I reported the call to the FTC.

they called my house 3 times in one hour, the first 2 15 minutes apart. I did not answer. I did call back and got a generic message, saying that I have been contacted because of 'one of their sponsors' . at the end of the message I chose number 3 to not get phone calls from the,  opted out.

What should you do when you do not recognize the number displayed on your Caller ID:

1) Unless you are expecting a call from someone in that area code (doctor, mechanic, etc) don't answer the phone.
2) Let it go to voice mail.  If the call is legitimate, the person trying to reach you will leave a message.
3) Don't call the number back.  Chances are you will just validate the phone number they called and you will be contacted repeatedly.
4) Google the phone number.  If you find search results on 800notes.com, read the notes others have provided.  Not all numbers are scams.  Trust, but verify.

Got call to sell me an Amazon.com store website hosted on GoDaddy. The cost was $99 setup and $20 per month. I tried to ask a few questions and the conversation went from high pressure sales to intimidation.

Amazon.com offers an associates program with a hosted store to sell their products to anyone for free. If you want the store on your own domain you will have some of your own development work to do.

Its sounds like this is a telemarketing firm selling whatever they can to people.

TOTALLY  IGNORE  ALL  CALLS  FROM  THIS  NUMBER--  IT  IS   USED  ONLY  BY  VARIOUS  SCAMMERS!!
