I get calls from this # and several others with the same area code.  It is the same company saying I qualify for a Wal-mart gift card and they have the last 4 digits of my card number.  So I closed out the card and got a new one from my bank.  this all started after I purchased something from Amazon.com.  Anyone else buy something from there?

I have been getting calls from Michigan numbers, including 517-933-2009.  To call back the number gives you the same "the marketing dept is busy, please leave a message with your name, address and phone number".  I have reported the number because I am on the "do not call registry".  Please PLEASE be advised that in tough economic times, there are LOADS of scams out there right now. These degenerates try to take advantage of people who are done on their luck.  If someone finds a credit card receipt of yours, it will show your name and the last 4 digits of your credit card.  They can't see your full credit card number! so, they call to offer you $40 free money via gift card or whatever, and all you need to do is give them your credit card number?? Once you give them that info and exp date, they can run charges for thousands on your credit.  This is a scam.  Also, if anyone gets a letter about winning a lottery (that they have never played), that's also a scam. You cannot win what you do not play.

I am getting calls daily and they had the last four of my visa.  I canceled the debit card and found it was from buying Snuggies.  I called Snuggies and they said I must have agreed to something during my phone purchase.  These people won't leave me alone.  Snuggies gave out my phone number, which is a private line.  I am so irritated.  I tell them each time not to call.  I am going to file a complaint with the FTC and see if that stops them.

I received a call on my cell phone today from 517-933-2009 regarding my VISA card. The lady wanted to send me $50 to "upgrade" my account and mail a package of information. I kindly asked to be removed from her call list. She was very rude and said that she couldn't remove my number because she was calling regarding an active VISA account yet she couldn't tell me the name of the bank. I asked her to please not call me again. She refused to listen to me and frequently spoke over me. She was extremely rude. I ended up hanging up on her...
