they called today and ask for my wife, after I told them she had just died they hung up, I'm not married and my x is still living and well, there needs to be  away we can stop these fools from calling, our gov. won't do any thing about it

I got a call from this number on my cell phone today.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I'm grateful for this website and agree with everyone who posted here.  I will report it to the Do Not Call Registry.

For those of you getting these types of calls from either "Rachel" or "Tiffany" at "Cardholder Services," please know that these scam artists and spammers who use robocall methods to annoy the living crap out of people are on the Federal Trade Commission's (FTC) Public Enemy Number One list. Just received a call from (518) 795-3421 on my work cell phone.  I didn't answer since I didn't recognize the area code.  The caller did not leave a message.

518-795-3421 on my caller ID twice. Received 2 calls within a few minutes. The first call was a hang up. On the second call, the man caller seemed o be reading a prepared message about selling discounted sex toys and magazines. And, that his company could supply me with all varieties of ED pills that work on women, personal lubricants, and vibrators. He asked me to tell him my Visa card number and that he would not charge anything to it if I was not ecstatic about his products, which he would send me for free and wait to charge me after he called me to see if I enjoyed the products. It sounded like he was breathing pretty heavy and grunting and sighing a lot, like he had asthma or something going on that caused him to sound that way.

What kind of caller would say those things to a stranger and especially from a scammer according to the others on this blog. I am on the do not call list and I guess that its not working against this type of call.

Called me a couple minutes ago and I answered, then they hung up(?).  Tried calling back but it said the number was not in service....

Pretty sure that this is the same group that has been calling me over and over again for the past few months from a slew of different numbers. It's absolutely ridiculous. I have a blocked caller list of about 10 different numbers and they continue to call. I tried being nice and asking to please put me on their do not call list, but they clearly don't. Finally, fed up with their constant calls (especially since they call me during work!), I told a representative that I was sick of it and to stop calling me. She says to me, voice FULL of attitude: "Ma'am if you DIDN'T want information on the low credit rate, you shoulda NEVER pressed 1." Before I could make a rebuttal, she hung up.

I'm sick of these calls. The next time I get one, I will make sure they COMPLETELY understand me when I demand they take me off their list.

Got a call from them on my cell that interrupted a call I was on.  I've entered them on my phone under DoNotAnswer.  The ring tone for that contact is appropriately "Crickets".

They called my cell on January 21, 2013.  Didn't leave a message.  I didn't notice until today.

I got a call today from 518-795-3421 today. 518 is Albany NY area code and I live in CA... no connection. I have been getting those calls but they don't live a message.

Another "No Name" call to my cell 11:39 a.m. 1/25/13.  Didn't recognize # so didn't answer.  And, of course, no message left.

I sincerely believe it is AARP selling numbers...just my .02

Got a call from this number, second time in a month. All I get is silence, then the caller hangs up.

each "annoyance" number i get is assigned a "name" on my contact list- SCAM#1, SCAM#2 or whatever. that way when the phone rings, i can check caller id as usual and ignore if appropriate. doesn't eliminate the calls, i know, but minimizes their impact somewhat- if you are comfortable with ignoring a ringing phone

Have noticed these callers have coats of many colors! Been receiving their calls for several years and have even received sms/text messages from these characters claiming everything from registering to win a free Apple iPhone to $50.00 gas card.
These callers claim to be Bank of America as well as an unknown/unnamed card and/or account services, surveys promising cruises, Target gift cards, Walmart gift cards and countless other cards that earns consumers discount points. My experience with receiving these calls dates back as far as at least 2006 after moving to Texas. These callers obtain financial information from consumers to set up automatic debits/charges to bank/credit card accounts, callers receive automatic payments every month while the consumer is being DUPED and SCAMMED!
